I was in the last job, until a month ago, for eight years. With the same company! Now I just learnt that the enthusiasm level for the. New job, already got it, is about five month (month, not years! And, after the five month gone, you start looking for something to keep higher your enthusiasm level: a new job. WTF? Well, the five month is the average for Canada.

Something that is not necessary your fault, but with a little effort you were, maybe, able to avoid: like avoiding the crowd during flu season or avoiding getting out because of slippery or smoking less, if at all, to die older and so on.
