The Cat Tail: July 2008

Sunday, July 20, 2008. Church groups offer cheap gas and draw in a huge crowd. Folks from three different churches handed out free sodas and bottled water along with "connection cards," as they squeegeed windows and filled tanks in an effort to help reduce prices at the pump and get motorists closer to God.". What would Jesus do if he were alive today and saw today's high gas prices? We really believe that if Christ were alive today that he world be doing the same thing." said one earnest pastor. A Night on the Tiles: March 2006
http://terrecuite.blogspot.com/2006_03_01_archive.html
A Night on the Tiles. I work in a tile making factory. Roof Tiles. In France. Are all factory labourers crazy? Or just the French? Friday, March 31, 2006. Day 1 of the 6 day shift cycle. Shift 4:00 am till midday. Tiles made: Demi Ronde 33 BV - 3700. Dry Tiles unstacked: Ventilation Xahara. 3700 isn't a lot of tiles. A normal shift on the Mulder should push out 4700-5000. Then at the end of the shift the chain of stacked tiles was full so we had to stop about 1/2 an hour early. An easy, humdrum day.

CHRISTIANS BEHAVING BADLY #23. Where does the GOP find the religious nutjobs they allow to run for office? Here are just three examples of Christians who ran for office in Arkansas, and thankfully lost their elections. Three Republican House candidates simply shot themselves in the foot with their own words. Rep Jon Hubbard, Rep. Loy Mauch, and former Sen. Charlie Fuqua. The death penalty for rebellious children. Minimum wage should be set at zero. We cannot continue to sustain the percentage of our popu...

http://milocrat.blogspot.com/2008/08/line-in-sand.html

During a recent debate, Rick Warren asked "when does a baby have human rights? McCain answered decisively: at conception. Take a moment to think what this means. If a fertilized egg has human rights what happens to birth control, the morning after pill, in vitro. Fertilization, and stem cell research? Will miscarriages be investigated to rule out manslaughter or worse? Over a ...
