Making better tasting coffee. 1 Get a standard 8-cup French Press (also called a Press Pot or Cafetiere) and remove the lid and plunger screen. 2 Measure in eight slightly rounded tablespoons of coarse ground coffee. 3 Set a digital timer for 4 minutes and press start. 6 Carefully place the lid and plunger assembly back on top, but do not push down the plunger yet. Having power outages means, no television, no aircon, no computer, and no light. I'm sure all of us experienced a time where it just became pitch black.
