cafe cinq: our own edible
http://cafecinq.blogspot.com/2012/04/our-own-edible.html
I almost forgot to mention that the we've recently celebrated the launch of Edible Cleveland. I've collected these beautiful publications almost everywhere I've traveled for the past ten years. In that same period of time, I've also worked with at least three different groups interested in launching an Edible. Here It's about time someone finally took the leap and made it happen. I'm looking forward to working with publishers, Noelle Celeste and Jon Benedict, to make Edible Cleveland. Chefs on the Farm.

cafe cinq: sunday rhubarb cake
http://cafecinq.blogspot.com/2012/04/sunday-rhubarb-cake.html
I'm delighted to report the earliest rhubarb harvest ever at our house - April 22, 2012. Although it came on a cold, Sunday afternoon, it was the perfect occasion for a hearty, warm, rhubarb cake. When seeking inspiration for rhubarb, I always turn to the British. It seems they love this sweet, spring treat as much as I do. This recipe is adapted from Nigel Slater's Tender. Rhubarb Cinnamon Polenta Cake. 125 g polenta or yellow cornmeal*. 1 tsp baking powder. 150 g sugar .634 cups. Zest of one orange.

gretchalina: yes, i'm still here...
http://gretchalina.blogspot.com/2012/03/yes-im-still-here.html
Yes, i'm still here. Although by the long absence of activity, you might think otherwise. What i can share is that i have been completely and delightfully immersed in the 'small' side project that i began this past december by the name of 513{eats}. This project has quickly grown into a full blown 'grown up project' and i am so thrilled at the direction and momentum it has taken. In december, i shared with you the first, mini gazette, our holiday issue. I have completely fallen in lust. A win-win. yes.
