We were running late and I was driving, so I threw he and Mike out of the car outside the front gate and went off to find a park. No ceremony, no heartfelt farewell for his four hours away in a new environment. If he wished I'd been a little bit more formal in my goodbye rather than shouting 'Get out, we're in a no standing zone! He didn't let on.

Say Nothing, Act Casual. And keep yourself out of trouble. Wednesday, 28 May 2014. Girls weekends are a rare diamond of super awesomeness. Going away with your girlfriends is a treat. Several days child free, lots of time to finish sentences, discuss important matters and (this is the best part) to only take care of yourself. The only socks I picked up off the floor were my own. That in itself, is a miraculous treat. I'm not quite as necessary as we all think I am. And I like it. The logistics of leaving.
