Thursday, 24 January 2013. This is my postcard for the January postcard swap over on UK Stampers. The theme this month is New Beginnings. I'm fond of this stork stamp and stamped it out and coloured it in using my copics and a white paint marker. I removed the leg portion of the stamp when I cut it out and positioned him as 'flying in'. I used individual letters from a small stamp set to stamp the wording. And I stamped the sentiment stamp using distress ink and then popped the hand and foot prints on.

Thursday, 15 December 2011. The theme for the December postcard swap over on UK Stampers. Is 'The top of the tree'. I chose a star for the top of my tree and wanted it to be the 'star' of my postcard. I started with a base of blue card and used blue stazon ink to stamp the background - Santa, presents and Christmas writing. I then stamped my star stamp and Happy Christmas and heat embossed them using gold embossing powder to make them 'pop' and become the focus of the postcard. Links to this post. Hubby ...

Monday, 11 June 2012. Castles in the air . The theme for the UK Stampers June postcard swap. And this is my take on the theme. Firstly I drew a cloud shape to use as a mask, positioned it on the postcard and used my distress inks to produce the background, leaving the cloud shape white. I used the sentiment and the castle image from my Lindsay Mason set. I coloured the image using my copics. So there you have it - my take on the 'In the sky' theme is Castles in the air :-). Monday, 21 May 2012. Dancing the night away! The theme for the May postcard swap over on UK Stampers. Is Party and I finally managed a play in my craft room last night! This is what I came up with . I first thought of all the bunting and cakes etc that are around at the moment with the National Celebrations of the Jubilee and Olympics, but then went down a very different tack of party - dancing the night away! Wednesday, 26 October 2011. To get myself more organised I've made myself a little Craft Challenge Notebook to note down challenge requirements and the date they need to be done by. I covered the notebook and used the toning back of the 12x12 paper for the title block. I stamped the sentiment. I then cut out the flowers and positioned them in the corner. Saturday, 19 November 2011. After a dreadful few weeks which started with my MIL being rushed into hospital with heart problems, followed by losing my precious kitty to a tumour and the next day having surgery myself, the electrics failing in our house . The list just seems to go on! Well I'm finally recovering and managed to do my first crafting for a while . This is my postcard for the November postcard swap over on UK Stampers. The theme is fireworks. I used blue distress inks for the background 'sky'.

Tuesday, 22 January 2013. As to why my blogging has been missing . This is the jacket I knitted for our new granddaughter Ayda who arrived on the 30th Sept. As she and our daughter and son-in-law were living with us for the first 3 months of her life my crafting and blogging took a back seat for a while! Big congratulations, Grandma!
