Game Design

Monday, December 7, 2015. Hw #6: Analyze two Games. Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. The art is medieval viking style. Depending on where you are in the game world it could be dark and wintry or bright and sunny. The game world has it's own weather patterns such as rain and blizzards. I mostly played this game on Xbox360 but it is also available on PC. There are many combat variations, which helps keep the game interesting. The game world is composed of 3d blocks in varying colors such as brown for dirt and bark...

Game Design: Hw #7

http://abbiegamedesign.blogspot.com/2015/10/hw-7.html

Friday, October 30, 2015. We created an fsugd repository in Github and we all summited a commit. Link: https:/ github.com/blackkeys/fsugd. We all decided that using Google drive is more convenient and easier to use than Github and will continue to use Google Drive for our game. In the coming week I will be continuing working on the world for the game, adding foliage, buildings and textures. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. Game Design: Team Homework 1

http://abbiegamedesign.blogspot.com/2015/10/team-homework-1.html

Sunday, October 4, 2015. Link to video: https:/ youtu.be/st1x6YLc2jM. In our group video, we each show the different assets and characters that we will be using to make our game. We had a hard time figuring out how to make a tactical turn based game with what Unreal offered and decided to scrap the idea. In the next few weeks I plan to work with Thomas to design the layout for the town, make blueprints for weapons and necessary actions and animations for gameplay. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Game Design: August 2015

http://abbiegamedesign.blogspot.com/2015_08_01_archive.html

Monday, August 31, 2015. HW1: Two games I like. The Sims 3 was the first PC game that played. It is a simulation/RPG game where you create a person, or sim, and have them do whatever you want. You can tell stories, create interesting worlds, or play god! I like how you can create any sim and have them explore the sim world without. The sims is the game that got me into RPGs and open-world. Game Design: Hw #8: Game Analysis

http://abbiegamedesign.blogspot.com/2015/12/hw-8-game-analysis.html

Monday, December 7, 2015. Hw #8: Game Analysis. The location of this game is a run down city overcome with the plantlike zombies. The roads are mostly covered by grass at this point and many of the houses are abandon. We are hoping to create a darker creepy aesthetic, but at the same time we are not trying to stay away from the horror genre. We are using Unreal Engine and we are designing the game to be played on the PC. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. Hw #8: Game Analysis.
