Two weeks ago we saw the CSO perform Rimsky-Korsakov but I forgot to review it as I had my own recital I was preparing for and had guests in town. I am always amazed at how good the Colorado Symphony is, and Scheherezade SCHEHERAZADE. David J. Bondelevitch. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). There was an error in this gadget.

Post-production Sound and Music Editing and Mixing for Film and Television, plus Movie Reviews and Classical Music Reviews. Saturday, March 15, 2014. Paul Watkins plays Elgar with the CSO. Tonight's Colorado Symphony concert included three firsts. The evening opened with a new arrangement of selections from Tchaikovsky's Sleeping Beauty. But it is nice to see it performed as concert music. The second first of the night was Paul Watkins performing the Elgar Cello Concerto. Classical music is in a strange ...

I've followed the Prop 8 case closely, having lived in California for 22 years. Even with a pretty complete knowledge of the sequence of events, I have to say that THE CASE AGAINST 8. Post-production Sound and Music Editing and Mixing for Film and Television, plus Movie Reviews and Classical Music Reviews. Sunday, May 18, 2014. Last night we attended our last Colorado Symphony concert of the regular season. It was an interesting lineup, starting with the Beethoven Triple Concerto. And ending with conductor Andrew Litton's arrangement of songs from Gershwin's Porgy and Bess. The second half of the evening was quite a change, featuring Litton's adaptation of Porgy and Bess. The four sol...

Post-production Sound and Music Editing and Mixing for Film and Television, plus Movie Reviews and Classical Music Reviews. Tuesday, December 31, 2013. Is a great Disney film for kids that fools you into thinking it is going to be your typical Princess movie but pays off in a big way. The film has two strong female character, along with some great animation and songs. But that's a small criticism. This is one of the smarter films out there. David J. Bondelevitch. Post-production Sound and Music Editing and Mixing for Film and Television, plus Movie Reviews and Classical Music Reviews. Monday, January 31, 2011. Please, stop the superhero movies already! Really, does anyone over the age of 12 want to see another comic book movie? Well, anyone over 12 who has ever seen a woman naked in real life? Stick a fork in it, they are done. And this movie pisses on their graves. But if there is, I will likely skip it unless I have to see it. David J. Bondelevitch. He also rec...

But it's really the screenplay that is the strength. It's a very thoughtful film that discusses man's relationship with technology in a very intelligent way. To say much more would induce too many spoilers, so I will leave it at that. Watch the film if you get the chance. David J. Bondelevitch. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). DB’s Personal Links. Post-production Sound and Music Editing and Mixing for Film and Television, plus Movie Reviews and Classical Music Reviews. Thursday, January 02, 2014. However, the film has problems. The biggest problem is the choice to exclude any personal information about the lead character. The movie begins in medias res. With him alone and on a boat that is already damaged. Because we have NO backstory at all, it's very hard to have sympathy for this character. Who is he? Why is he alone? I have to go into SPOILER.
