Abundant Clayworks: 2264 Fahrenheit
http://abundantclayworks.blogspot.com/2009/10/2264-fahrenheit.html
Handcrafted Ceramics by Swan Whigham. Wednesday, October 28, 2009. Say a little prayer because my art is being burned at 2264 degrees Fahrenheit! That is temperature of cone 6. I'm looking forward to being reunited with my little treasures. I'm also a little nervous because I tried some new glazing techniques and once they are fired, it's permanant! Hopefully I'll have them by this weekend. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Wild Child Arts, Monroe, Ga. Good Dirt, Athens, GA.

Abundant Clayworks: Snail's pace
http://abundantclayworks.blogspot.com/2009/10/snails-pace.html
Handcrafted Ceramics by Swan Whigham. Wednesday, October 21, 2009. Last night I went to Wild Child Arts to glaze 6 tumblers and 4 covered jars. I worked for 2 hours and still did not finish glazing! Life definitely revolves around my family, so pottery is moving along at a snail's pace. I am actually fine with that, and will kick it up a notch from time to time if I need to. I'm just happy it is going and that I have my foot in the door. And yes, I have made a sale on Etsy! Thanks for your support, Faye!

Abundant Clayworks: Glazing and workshops
http://abundantclayworks.blogspot.com/2009/10/glazing-and-workshops.html
Handcrafted Ceramics by Swan Whigham. Tuesday, October 27, 2009. The next workshop will be November 7th for adults. We will be making boat vases and cups/mugs from slabs. I am really looking forward to that too! On a side note, something else I am excited about is Nov. 10th I am going to a friend's house to make some scrumptious soap. We have a great trade set up- she is teaching me to make soap and I am teaching her children how to make pottery. Great things are happening! October 28, 2009 at 5:45 PM.
