Accidental Autobiography

The secret diary of a *** guy in Brisbane, Australia. Monday, August 10, 2015. American Rebel Wilson, fondue night, and phenomenal output. The weekend was pretty full. I had to finish an article and an assignment but I wasn't exactly in the mood to do either one of these things because I desperately needed a mental break. I did get them all done by Sunday night though, so I had to give myself a pat on the shoulder. Sam was held up at work and was running late, so we bought our tickets and went to Grill'd.

Accidental Autobiography: February 2015

http://www.accidental-autobiography.blogspot.com/2015_02_01_archive.html

The secret diary of a gay guy in Brisbane, Australia. Tuesday, February 24, 2015. Have you ever had one of those really intense dreams that even after you have woken up, the way you felt in the dream continues to linger? Well, I had one of those last night. Admittedly, it felt like a 'dream cheat' but I am not about to apologise to Sam for my subconsciousness. I hope I am not the only one who has this kind of dream. Sunday, February 22, 2015. Cyclone, Joel's trades, and Chinese New Year dinner. We got up...

The secret diary of a gay guy in Brisbane, Australia. Sunday, September 28, 2014. Jawbone UP24, Riverfire close-up, and waning friendship. So the week whizzed past me like a whirlwind again. I felt exhausted but I also felt like I hadn't been all that productive. I just trust that the Universe knows what it is doing and everything I have done is for the good of something in the whole scheme of things. I finally bought my Jawbone UP24,. We had dinner at Grill'd. Omg, the daily muffin was yum yum yum!

Accidental Autobiography: Highlights of annual leave - so far

http://www.accidental-autobiography.blogspot.com/2015/07/highlights-of-annual-leave-so-far.html

The secret diary of a gay guy in Brisbane, Australia. Thursday, July 09, 2015. Highlights of annual leave - so far. If there is such a thing as bloggers hell, I would have gone there. I completely forgot to blog since 21 June. There goes my almost unblemished record of blogging at least once a week. Naturally, I have been going to Primal Pantry. I always have heaps to do when I am at the cafe, be it responding to work emails, stuffing around on the internet, or reading the material for an intensive cours...

Accidental Autobiography: August 2014

http://www.accidental-autobiography.blogspot.com/2014_08_01_archive.html

The secret diary of a gay guy in Brisbane, Australia. Sunday, August 24, 2014. Difficult assignment, new TV, and report writing. Why is it that whenever I want to have a relaxing weekend and do very little, it goes so quickly? Okay, I wouldn't say we didn't do anything but we certainly took it easy this weekend. Despite the rain, Joel, Iain, Sam, and I went to movie night but Ryan and Jake were at Fiji with the other boys, so it was always just going to be the four of us. We had dinner at Grill'd. Was to...

http://www.accidental-autobiography.blogspot.com/2015/08/friday-off-in-house-concert-and.html

The secret diary of a gay guy in Brisbane, Australia. Tuesday, August 04, 2015. Friday off, in-house concert, and uneventful weekend. To have lunch and did a but more of the assignment for the course I recently attended. I wish I could live like this every day. Sam and I met up with the guys at Grill'd. At Brunswick Central for dinner together. We then went to New Farm Cinemas. To see Mr Holmes. I slept till about midday. Yes, my body was telling me to rest, so I listened to it. :P. It was all very tame ...

Your neighborhood gay liberal. Dec 31, 2015 / Filed in Abundance. Well, I made it. 2016 is almost here and a few months ago, I wasn’t even confident I’d make it this far. By goddammit, I did, and I plan to be here for many years decades to come! As we say goodbye to another year, I am thankful for the love and support of family, and friends, and even the kindness of strangers, who have touched my life in some way and helped me on this journey. Your neighborhood gay liberal. I’m Living in My Farmville. Mar 7, 2016 / Filed in Abundance. Our son is learning about farm animals and the sounds they make, and he quite enjoys them. Sheep seem to be his favorite, which is a big deal for my mom, because she loves sheep too. That’s a popular question many gay dads are asked, and my answer is YES but we’re not harassed by the people you’d expect. So far, we’ve never encountered any problems from straight people. When we’re out with our son, it’s very common for strangers to ask us, “Are you his dads? May 29, 2015 / Filed in Adoption. I’m not sure where ...

Twenty years ago, I wrote my first short story. Even then, at the age of twelve, I had a thirst for bringing stories to life on a page. Last month I learned about a book called. By Chris Baty. Your neighborhood gay liberal. Aug 9, 2005 / Filed in Entertainment. 35 more minutes and it’s time for Big Brother 6. This whole show is built around human nature and the fact that people will lie, cheat, and whatever else just to win money. They aren’t left on a deserted island to fend for themselves. The only real hardships are the mind games they play with each other. I’m a jerk for even promoting this madness. AND I LOVE IT! Every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday, we can’t get enough! We recently went back to Nashville and were able to experience the city we once lived in after being away for over half a year. The place is really booming. I often see articles that suggest Nashville is one of the top 10 “it” places to live, and it was easy to see why. There’s been so much growth and there’s so much to do at any given time. Your neighborhood gay liberal. Jul 23, 2015 / Filed in Life. Memory Lane. You know the place. We all go there sometimes. It looks different for every person, with varying sights, sounds, and smells, but the feeling is universally understood. We were younger then. Life was easier, although we didn’t realize it at the time. And although we may not regret leaving that place, we still feel a tinge of sadness when we reminisce about the way things used to be. Your neighborhood gay liberal. Sep 3, 2015 / Filed in Life. In the morning, we’re meeting with my doctor to review my lab results and get confirmation of whether or not I’m completely cancer-free. I’m very nervous, although I’ve been assured that they saw no evidence that it had spread. I guess we’ll know for certain tomorrow. And my one ball, the lone soldier that it is, is just floating there in the middle of a hairy sack, with a surprising amount of grey hairs. When the fuck did my scrotum get old?

Accidental Blogger - Accidental Blogger Lori Nelson comments on “spiritual” subject matter: people, products, and events.

Do We See What We Expect To See? We see what we expect to see. In Experiment 1, Does an Invisible Energy Field Exist? We asked the Universe for a "sign" to prove that it exists and is responding to our requests. I believe I got that proof. This next chapter in Grout’s book can be boiled down to this: We see what we expect to see. And unfortunately, the majority of us are negative and fear based. This isn’t really our fault as we’ve been conditioned to see the world in terms of competition and lack. That ...
