Guide Dog Puppy Adventures. Monday, July 30, 2012. 6 Days and Counting! That's right only 6 more days and I am off to San Rafael to be an intern in their training department. I made a promise to myself that I would write a post every night about my day so I will not forget this experience, so be sure to look back Monday night! I could not have raised Mojito without the help from my leaders, club members, and CFR. Links to this post. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile. Recall Date-August...

Guide Dog Puppy Adventures: Take 2: Half A Dozen Puppies
http://desotokatlynn.blogspot.com/2012/08/take-2-half-dozen-puppies.html
Guide Dog Puppy Adventures. Thursday, August 16, 2012. Take 2: Half A Dozen Puppies. So as you all read yesterday I finally got my puppy assignment! Today in the afternoon, I got a phone call from my leader and got permission to answer as I had a feeling it was going to be news that Mojito was dropped. It's never a good thing when your leader calls you when you have a puppy in training you always think the worst! But luckily it was just the opposite! 7/8 Lab Golden Cross! Katlynn and Mr "D". Im bummed Im...

Dagan's Dogma: May 2011
http://dagansdogma.blogspot.com/2011_05_01_archive.html
Dagan started his life out as a guide dog in training. At the age of 16 months, he was released from his training program due to luxating patellas. He's now just a dog, living and loving the people who raised him. Sunday, May 29, 2011. Oh the things they make me do. Soooooo. I get career changed and essentially fall off the face of the blogging world, right? You would think that I would have all sorts of new and exciting things to write about. But, alas, life has become rather routine. What did *I* do?

Guide Dog Puppy Adventures: Training Internship: Day 5
http://desotokatlynn.blogspot.com/2012/08/training-internship-day-5.html
Guide Dog Puppy Adventures. Friday, August 10, 2012. Training Internship: Day 5. Wow, it's hard to believe my internship is already half way over! It went by so fast and I have loved every minute of it! All the staff is super nice and love having the interns around to help and do whatever needs to be done. I was beyond excited! I have been waiting all week to go out with a trainer, so it ended up being a great Friday surprise for me! She was extremely nice and asked me what I was wanting to do with her a...

Kasey Nash: My Sweet, Sweet Vacation with Mr. Mark
http://blitz-pit.blogspot.com/2009/08/my-sweet-sweet-vacation-with-mr-mark.html
Tuesday, August 25, 2009. My Sweet, Sweet Vacation with Mr. Mark. Mark Is. Amazing. He's soo sweet and soo loving, and kinda a spaz at times, but also really mellow with his jacket on, and he can be kinda quirky, but they're the cute kinda quirks and he sometimes gets annoying but then he does something really sweet to make up for it, and he's just a giant puppy with equally proportionate heart and brain sizes. At least, that's what I found out over 3 weeks. :). More updates to come as I enter the new ch...

Kasey Nash: July 2008
http://blitz-pit.blogspot.com/2008_07_01_archive.html
Sunday, July 27, 2008. So, it's been a while since I've updated. :). Anyway. With Miss Belle "out of the way" (As if! And he was OFF. (With me slowing him down, poor thing. I can't run quite as fast as him, lol. Now this is where the long line would have come in handy.). I'm so happy. Of course I corrected the little boy, told him not to feed him any more, but I'm proud of my boy. We've done a lot of training with my little brothers, but as far as I know he's never had a real-life experience. This is just...

Guide Dog Puppy Adventures: Training Internship: Day 9
http://desotokatlynn.blogspot.com/2012/08/training-internship-day-9.html
Guide Dog Puppy Adventures. Thursday, August 16, 2012. Training Internship: Day 9. It's getting down to the wire, only one more day left as an intern at GDB. I am really sad that it's coming to an end, but so thankful for all the memories I've mad, the experiences I've had, and all the dogs I've come to love. She is a really sweet and loving girl, nothing like Mojito and his brother who are high energy and act like goofy goldens most of the time! The dogs love getting out, especially for long walks. ...

Kasey Nash: November 2008
http://blitz-pit.blogspot.com/2008_11_01_archive.html
Sunday, November 16, 2008. Ah, I need your guys' input! Wait, or right away? Okay, perhaps I should explain. :). This morning I was casually browsing craigslist, and saw THIS ad. I've been emailing her today, and she says she basically needs someone to take her dog for 1 or 2 months and just get it used to public places, dogs, and people. Sounds a bit like puppy raising, doesn't it? I would just get him to the point where he could pass the Public Access Test. Links to this post. GDA actually had more vol...

Kasey Nash: October 2008
http://blitz-pit.blogspot.com/2008_10_01_archive.html
Thursday, October 30, 2008. Sorry guys for such a long span between posts! I've been kinda busy and haven't had time to get on the comp for the length of time I needed to post. Just a few seconds here and there to check my email and such. :) Right now is the only time I've been able to get away, and that's only because I had to get dropped off early at Moorpark for a class. He's pretty much the opposite of Blitz, but I love him! He's TOTALLY goofy and even sometimes a little naughty without his jacket on...
