They ran as many tests as possible to rule out infections and then settled on Wilson’s disease (an extremely rare condition that has something to do with the body’s retention of copper). They made Alyssa’s name active on the transplant list and we waited. We prayed for a new liver and no infections. We prayed, and continue to pray, for total healing and recovery. He is still here.
