International Chaos: The Longing Stare of an Ewok
http://internationalchaos.blogspot.com/2011/01/longing-stare-of-ewok.html
Chaos is the score upon which reality is written" - Henry Miller. Wednesday, January 12, 2011. The Longing Stare of an Ewok. Yes, it is another blog post about an animal staring at me. The picture below is of Owen, the family dog. He has the distinct honor of having lived longer than any of our other family dogs, all whom met some sort of untimely death. You have to admit, he looks like an ewok. January 14, 2011 at 5:35 AM. He does. What a cutie! January 14, 2011 at 11:52 PM. View my complete profile.

International Chaos: March 2010
http://internationalchaos.blogspot.com/2010_03_01_archive.html
Chaos is the score upon which reality is written" - Henry Miller. Friday, March 19, 2010. For Italy that is. I have not been very good in my blog posting, just not feeling it I suppose. But I have taken it upon myself to rise to the challenge to post for you. The last place I visited in Italy, Vernazza, was perhaps the most beautiful, for an outdoors kind of person like myself. Don't get me wrong, I like the museums and the art work, but if I had to pick, I would choose the outdoors. And of course what b...

International Chaos: And at last came Wales
http://internationalchaos.blogspot.com/2010/08/and-at-last-came-wales.html
Chaos is the score upon which reality is written" - Henry Miller. Sunday, August 22, 2010. And at last came Wales. Hard to believe I have come to the last post on my travels in Europe before coming back to the States. At least I am finishing up these posts less than a year later. I spent a week in Wales with my good friends Stephanie and Mary Beth. We got a screaming deal at a resort in a small town called Machynlleth. Thanks to Stephanie and her parent's time share investment. Statue of Owain Glyndwr.

International Chaos: April 2010
http://internationalchaos.blogspot.com/2010_04_01_archive.html
Chaos is the score upon which reality is written" - Henry Miller. Monday, April 26, 2010. My Grandma Campbell celebrated her 90th birthday on April 19th, supposedly not a very good day. To have a birthday, but since I think about both my Grandmas on this day (yes, my grandmothers share birthdays), I say that yes, yes you can have a good birthday on April 19th. Plus we have to admire Grandpa Campbell's hair. Wednesday, April 14, 2010. During the Easter holiday I was able to spend some quality time in wond...

A blog in the life of Jessica. Sunday, April 24, 2011. Another Year, Another Garden. Two kinds of Lettuce: Purple and Green. Don't Be fooled into thinking the mint in the middle is due our gardening efforts. It's invasive, annoying, impossible to get rid of and not part of our garden. A blog in the life of Jessica: National Parks: Part I
http://jessicaannallen.blogspot.com/2011/11/national-parks-part-i.html
A blog in the life of Jessica. Saturday, December 31, 2011. National Parks: Part I. This last month I watched Ken Burn's The National Parks: America's Best Idea. And loved it. I'd seen some of it a few years ago but this was the first time I've watched it beginning to end. It is a hearty 12 hour endeavor and I did over a few weeks, but it was worth it. A blog in the life of Jessica: January 2012
http://jessicaannallen.blogspot.com/2012_01_01_archive.html
A blog in the life of Jessica. Sunday, January 8, 2012. National Parks: Part II. I am not much of historian and think sometimes that I should write a letter to Richard Lyman Bushman for his advice to the novice historian. Much of the history I learn feels distant and disconnected from my personal life. Recently, I made an interesting personal connection while watching to the history of Grand Teton National Park on the Ken Burn's National Park Series. According to the NPS:. On September 14, 1950, the orig...

A blog in the life of Jessica: A week without a car...day two.
http://jessicaannallen.blogspot.com/2011/12/week-without-carday-two.html
A blog in the life of Jessica. Tuesday, December 6, 2011. A week without a car.day two. If you ever need a ride just ask me. It's only day two and feel like I owe the whole world a ride to somewhere. My perception of time has changed over the past 2 days. Having a car means I decide when I come and go. Even to the extent that I can get very stressed if I am not out the door or at the office at certain, almost arbitrary deadlines I set for myself. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).
