Addicted to Injury: Vilanova de Meia & Riglos

It started out as some kind of rehab diary then ended up in a load of piffling nonsense. now it's back to it's ROOTS! With a bit of Trad thrown in for the hell of it). Tuesday, 13 December 2011. Vilanova de Meia and Riglos. On our return from the Verdon an attempt at bouldering (secret garden) reinforced my lack of psyche for the luck based scrittle. The upside of this was efficient thesis writing, the downside - a distinct lack of climbing psyche. I'd always planned on a day out to Riglos, remembering t...

Pass the Pasta Pastor: If at first...
http://passthepastapastor.blogspot.com/2012/12/if-at-first.html
Pass the Pasta Pastor. Very much and very little. Thursday, 13 December 2012. A fortnight ago, I made the decision to go on a diet. It is at once the best and worst decision I have ever made. I don't carry reams of fat yet there does seem to be something making me heavier than I ought to be. Come on man admit it, it's FAT! Compare and contrast to this:. If a line inspires you it doesn't matter how long it takes". The former quotation stems from North Wales trad stalwart George Smith. I always enjoy h...

Pass the Pasta Pastor: Onward
http://passthepastapastor.blogspot.com/2013/10/onward.html
Pass the Pasta Pastor. Very much and very little. Wednesday, 23 October 2013. Turned 30 last weekend. My madame organised me an amazing Alan Partridge-themed surprise party whereby all concerned were clad in full size masks. I'd just woken up after a nap and entered a room thinking a pint was on the cards before dinner. Low and behold. "A HAAAAAA! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Less about me, more about you? Pass the Pasta Pastor: June 2010

Pass the Pasta Pastor. Very much and very little. Saturday, 12 June 2010. Thursday, 10 June 2010. What has been and what is to come. In summary of climbing, I've not really done any but have when time has allowed crushed the fingerboard doing power pulls and hangs. I'm really out of practice but am now at least endowed with four months to train for my project. I've been running a lot which has altered my body shape quite drastically and I'd say I'm a lot less bulkier than normal which is good.

It started out as some kind of rehab diary then ended up in a load of piffling nonsense. now it's back to it's ROOTS! With a bit of Trad thrown in for the hell of it). Wednesday, 4 January 2012. Since returning from the Verdon I'd had little psych to make the effort to get out on the Grit; the one day I bothered I just wasn't interested (and neither was she). Spain came around quickly and afterwards there was little time between the Christmas duties to even think about getting out climbing. Thanks to Rob...

It started out as some kind of rehab diary then ended up in a load of piffling nonsense. now it's back to it's ROOTS! With a bit of Trad thrown in for the hell of it). Tuesday, 31 May 2011. The love affair with High Tor continues although the honeymoon period will soon pass as the majority of challenges that remain are outside my comfort zone and if truth be told, my skill set. Pumped calf muscles. However, I have to say I've been disappointed. Than at the humble level of E2/3 and surprisingly. 7a prow&#...

It started out as some kind of rehab diary then ended up in a load of piffling nonsense. now it's back to it's ROOTS! With a bit of Trad thrown in for the hell of it). Monday, 9 July 2012. The holiday went ' so well'. I didn't have the inclination to write up its failings, a few months later here it is in note form:. June = Too early, huts closed, lifts closed, snow in descent gullies and only Eastern Bloc climbers (i.e. mentalists) climbing. Cinque Torri is crap. The Marmolada is friggin' huge ( 870m).

It seems I've been fairly busy since the last post. The 3 year funding period on my studies has now ceased and I saw last Fri as my absolute stopping point for simulation work. I managed to hit that deadline early, by about a day. This brings me to my next point:. Thankfully she feels the same. The Peak Bolt Fund.
