Saturday, May 16, 2015. Unwanted, Unloved and Uncared For. We think sometimes that poverty is only being hungry, naked and homeless. That We Might Be Adopted: July 2015
http://thatwemightbeadopted.blogspot.com/2015_07_01_archive.html
Wednesday, July 29, 2015. By Jeff Burns in Ethiopia. This last week the team from the University of Kentucky went out to the town of Debre Zeit where they partnered with Samy and the YWAM ministry there. Part of the funds that the team contributed went to feeding the poorest of the community, and to putting a fresh mud and straw finish to the see-through walls of some homes. We saw much rejoicing as the homes were mudded and food was delivered. Posted by Becky - Mission 1:27 Ethiopia. Links to this post.

Thursday, August 27, 2015. The GIFT of Hearing the Word. I don’t know about you but I have a LOT of bibles in my house… NIV, NLT, ESV, KJV, MSG, Thompson Chain, Phillips, study bibles, even my old Living Bible from high school brightly underlined with Flair markers. And now I have an app on my phone where I can get all of these versions (and more! With a swipe of my finger. If I’m honest, all of these bibles are taken completely for granted. I hold in my hands? You can also give a hard-copy bible here.

Sunday, May 31, 2015. You May Think You Came to Serve. What do people do. When they go on a mission trip to Ethiopia? There are many end goals that are on the heart of Mark Wolbert, our Mission Director, as he meets a group of travel-weary Americans spilling through the doors of the Addis Ababa airport. Each team of people traveling together has a different personality and each trip addresses something different. A group of college football players from the University of Kentucky just returned from E...

Thursday, June 25, 2015. He Giveth More Grace {a re-post}. Can I share the words to an old song with you in the hope that it will be an encouragement to someone reading the blog today? The fact that it was written by a young woman who was adopted is a happy ‘coincidence’ but isn’t really part of the story behind the words. And they're straight out of God’s word. HE GIVETH MORE GRACE. By Annie J Flint. He giveth more grace as the burdens grow greater,. He sendeth more strength as the labors increase,.

Thursday, April 30, 2015. A very small percentage of our AM 1:27 sponsors have the opportunity to meet their adopted families in person… but when they do, it is an unforgettable experience that only deepens their understanding of and love for the widows and at-risk families they support. We wrapped up our time by hearing the dreams she has for herself. She said she loves to cook and would love to start a restaurant. I told her how I love to cook and eat! That We Might Be Adopted: Eyes and Hearts Opened
http://thatwemightbeadopted.blogspot.com/2015/07/eyes-and-hearts-opened.html
Friday, July 24, 2015. Eyes and Hearts Opened. By Jeff Burns in Addis Ababa. The University of Kentucky team arrived late last night into Addis Ababa. After checking in we gathered for a bite to eat before crashing for the night. Friday morning brought some refreshed bodies ready to see the city, to serve the needy and to have our eyes opened wide to how so much of the rest of the world exists daily.
