Crux at the Bottom. Welcome to my first blog EVER! The trip varied from a suburban packed for a party of six to solo nights camping and making friends with veteran J-Tree’rs. Long days of beaming sun, chimney climbs and scary top outs. Returning to camp covered in scrapes and bruised egos – nothing a little bourbon and the desert night skies can’t fix. When I arrive back at the automotive shop, the manager offers to park my car behind the shop where they have a camp spot with hookups. Crux at the Bottom. The Center of Utah: Population 1,465. I remember traveling down Alligator Alley when I was 8. We would cross the everglades on route to my great aunts house in Sarasota. I would also be intrigued by the small towns along the way and think “How different is this life? What is it like to live in a small town like this?
