Anyway, today is my 3 month anniversary! I've been noticing my clothes a heckuva lot more lately. I think I only have a few more weeks with my current jeans, then they'll have to go. It's probably time that I got rid of them now, but I just can't. It's just one of those things. POSTED at 11/30/2006 11:09:00 AM. POSTED at 11/25/2006 10:20:00 AM. I'm not sure what just happened, but it is definitely a little disconcerting. I love photography. I wish I could do it for a living. Anyway, I have a coup...Had a...

First, I want to say thank you to all the people that sent me notes, publicly and privately, I really appreciate the support. Your kind words warmed my heart. It's pushing 4 AM right now and there isn't any sleep in sight for me til I get on the flight to Miami, even though it's only 2 hours long, I plan to be knocked out. I plan to sleep during my layover in Miami and I plan to really be snoring on the flight to Sao Paulo. I'm excited and scared, but anxious to be switched! I want my mommy. There I ...

Well, my flight is all booked and I am having my tickets Fedexed to me. I want them in my hands as soon as friggin possible. I had to pause a minute before I hit that "complete order" button when I purchasing my tickets online. Every little act, every task I complete that brings me closer to getting this surgery fills me with more and more excitement and more and more nervousness. POSTED at 7/31/2006 09:32:00 PM. I can show my college pride with impunity like I have always wanted to. August 30, 2006.

A month ago today a very kind and able doctor named Marchesini performed a miracle surgery on me called the BPD/DS. I had flown all the way from my home in the suburbs of Atlanta to Curitiba, Brazil to have the operation. Today I sit here now 50.4 lbs lighter. Amazing. Anyway, I'm happy with my 50 lb loss. This next month I will be slowly introducing exercise in my daily routine and if I am lucky will maybe see the same loss in month 2. We shall see! POSTED at 9/30/2006 01:02:00 PM. 8 small ham cubes.

The first shot I scanned from my passport. I took it at a Walgreens around the corner, about 2-3 weeks before I left for Brazil. It was for my Brazilian visa. The second photo I took one Saturday after I'd done a little cleaning around the house, hence the do-rag. I'm definitely feeling a little bit of a disconnect, BUT I am happy to see progress being made! So freakin' weird. It almost feels like I am looking at two completely different people. POSTED at 10/31/2006 11:01:00 PM. Thank you Dr. M! My busin...

That, my friends, was my blood pressure yesterday morning! How delightful is that? I had my 6 month checkup yesterday. Needless to say, I was all smiles. I wanted to hug the nurse when she told me that! In fact, when she left, I had to do a little dance all by myself in the exam room. I couldn't help it! Boy, I am certainly on a DS high. I am trying to not get too complacent. The last week or so I haven't been as vigilant as I should be. Time to refocus! POSTED at 2/27/2007 07:46:00 PM. I've had one big ...
