ALICE SPRUNG: September 2008
http://alicesprung.blogspot.com/2008_09_01_archive.html
Cycling and life. Is there anything else at this moment? Friday, 26 September 2008. Sep 24-26: hopping over the inland sea. Beautiful scenery, spectacular bridge crossings, great bike paths and wild pig crossings. Once we'd finished in Onomichi we met a gorgeous couple who shouted us a meal when we'd run out of cash and no one would take credit. I'll let the photos fill in the story. First bridge on the ride. The bicycles at the other end of the bridge. Riding down the path. Catching the ferry to Onamichi.

ALICE SPRUNG: July 2008
http://alicesprung.blogspot.com/2008_07_01_archive.html
Cycling and life. Is there anything else at this moment? Wednesday, 23 July 2008. I couldn't sleep the night before. I wasn't nervous, just excited! It was like being in primary school the night before camp. The next morning I was still excited but also relaxed. Corset and nana control underwear is in place. I'm memorising my vows while my cousin is racing around and Mum is doing my hair and make-up. The flowers are delivered and I put my dress on. Then, my turn. ".this is my vow to you.". Guys who put t...

VSO in Ghana / East Africa Cycle: October 2010
http://lucyandy.blogspot.com/2010_10_01_archive.html
VSO in Ghana / East Africa Cycle. Tuesday, 26 October 2010. As if it were nothing more troublesome than a mere cold, people in Ghana often casually mention that they have recently had a little malaria, and before long go about their daily tasks regardless. Well I've just probably had malaria, and no daily tasks were being conducted. For these people and I, medication is affordable. Four days' daily intake of 22 pills and pirated Arnie Swarzenegger movies and I was back on my feet. Many can't affo...Quite...

VSO in Ghana / East Africa Cycle. Thursday, 30 June 2011. Stunning images of attractive lycra-clad sporty/bumbling cyclists will follow by the way. To Laura, Jeremy and Alistair for putting us up and showing us such fantastic hospitality despite the fact you didn't know us and we were several days late. and filthy. and too tired to speak. On our right is a huge ridge. We're told later by Rob - the geologist at the gold. Ps note Indiana Jones - stylee wagon chasing Lucy down the mine. Lovely cup of chai.

ALICE SPRUNG: August 2008
http://alicesprung.blogspot.com/2008_08_01_archive.html
Cycling and life. Is there anything else at this moment? Saturday, 30 August 2008. August 25-29 Tourists in Kyoto pt1. We based ourselves in a campground north of Kyoto, which seemed to have some affinity with 'Gulliver's travels', and caught the train in for sightseeing. We thought it would be cheaper this way. It wasn't. Lesson learned. Brendan spent a lot of time looking at bike porn. Our walks around the scenic streets are punctuated with cries of 'Check out that bike! We've noticed a particular conc...

ALICE SPRUNG: December 2007
http://alicesprung.blogspot.com/2007_12_01_archive.html
Cycling and life. Is there anything else at this moment? Tuesday, 4 December 2007. Curtin Springs Station Review. Just a bitch about a place I stayed at this weekend:. The staff are not the friendliest people on the planet. Very rude and dismissive of you and if you are as unlucky as we were to have any disagreements with them, they won't try to come halfway on anything. They seem to think they are always right and the customer is wrong. Isn't that some sort of no-no in business. Japan Cycle Touring Map.

Skip to main content. Skip to primary sidebar. Skip to secondary sidebar. The ramblings of a mother and daughter who dream of riding their bikes here, there and everywhere. Larr; Another successful night out. Much as I like the Trangia stove, it can take a while to get going. I wanted something quicker, and had heard good things about the Jetboil Sol. So I went and got one! Unfortunately, Anaconda had run out of fuel canisters, so I can’t actually try it out yet. For now, here’s a picture. Good Vibration...
