Building an Adventure Bus

Building an Adventure Bus. Sunday, February 24, 2013. Getting ready to build. Sitting here in bed this morning I am just thinking about getting work done on the bus. The 75 dollar Home Depot gift card we got for Christmas is dying to become sub flooring. The extra windows that will be removed are longing to be mounted in another bus. The diesel fuel in the tank is waiting to be burned this summer. There are some great days ahead. Saturday, January 12, 2013. Monday, November 19, 2012. Cast iron wood stove.

Building an Adventure Bus: Pray attention! Five things I learned on this trip

http://www.adventurebus.org/2012/10/pray-attention-five-things-i-learned-on.html

Building an Adventure Bus. Thursday, October 18, 2012. Five things I learned on this trip. I have finally recovered from a long two day journey to pick up Brad and Erin's bus in Salt Lake City. It was a long trip, looking back on it I am amazed a number of things. We drove a 1981 Volkswagen Rabbit Diesel the whole way and it got 59.50 miles per gallon on the way home. Why is it that a 31 year old car can get better mileage than the latest greatest hybrid technology? Wyoming is a windy state!

Building an Adventure Bus: November 2012

http://www.adventurebus.org/2012_11_01_archive.html

Building an Adventure Bus. Monday, November 19, 2012. We have not been doing much work inside the buses but have accomplished a lot of work towards them. We have begun the process of getting pallets in order to repurpose the lumber from them. Cleaning them and separating the lumber is a lot of work. Did you know that some pallets are made from solid oak? Once you remove all of the nails and run it through the planer you get some really nice lumber. Tiles galore for kitchen etc. Cast iron wood stove.
