Adventures of an Alaskan Transplant. Tuesday, August 19, 2014. After an amazing few days in sunny, hot Seattle watching the Braves. We headed out to Whidbey Island for a day. On the way there we stopped and took in the views at Deception Pass. The view from the bridge on Deception Pass. Admiralty Head Light in Coupeville. The next day we headed over to Port Townsend, for lunch. It was a great few days to get away from work and enjoy the sun and hot weather! Mount Rainier on the way back to Seattle.

Adventures of an Alaskan Transplant. Monday, August 26, 2013. After what seemed like weeks of rain, this weekend we had some gorgeous, sunny weather (albeit, the mornings definitely felt a bit chilly)! Andrew and I decided to take advantage of the great weather and our last weekend of freedom before classes started up for the fall semester and drive to Talkeetna for lunch after church on Sunday! One hour north of our house the views were spectacular - Willow, Alaska. Location: Talkeetna, AK 99676, USA.

Adventures of an Alaskan Transplant. Wednesday, January 21, 2015. We just returned from a wonderful 11-day Caribbean cruise to celebrate graduation - it was fantastic! Day 1 - Boarding. Monday, we boarded the MS Noordam and checked out our new digs for the next eleven days! Andrew getting an early start on relaxation. Days 2 and 3 - At Sea. Day 4 - Philipsburg, St. Maarten. This shows how close our spot was to the airfield! Day 5 - Castries and Soufrerie, St. Lucia. Products are made - it was fascinating!
