Thursday, June 11, 2015. Early Summer in Alaska. Lake One where we saw a Beaver previously. Reed and I have been living and working here in Denali, Alaska for six weeks now. We've settled into the daily and weekly rhythm of our jobs. Reed is doing maintenance at the Grande Denali Lodge. I am working as the housing manager for employee housing for the employees of Grande Denali Lodge and Denali Bluffs Hotel. We're learning a great deal in our new roles and enjoying the challenge. 229 Parks Excellent Brunch.

Wednesday, March 11, 2015. Hiking on St John Island, US Virgin Islands. I woke in the middle of the night to use the bathroom. I hadn't brushed my teeth, nor was I going to that night. The following day, exhaustion. We took a short walk with a naturalist and a group, which introduced us to the trail system on the island. Yes, we will walk tomorrow. Already showing the sweat! Freshwater on an island with very little. Break time at the oasis. Near the fresh water source. The heat of the day.

Monday, January 19, 2015. After the Inman 300. And it's possible to see one's city from a truly human pace and at eye level. I hope for urban hiking to continue to grow. I'd love to see more urban long-distance hiking routes created. I'm grateful to Bob Inman, Andrew Lichtman and Ying Chen for being the creators and first hikers of the Inman 300. They have inspired and encouraged me and many others to get out and see our cities. Thursday, January 15, 2015. All the Way to the End - Day 12 on the Inman 300.
