Life-tastic!: November 2009
http://life-tastic.blogspot.com/2009_11_01_archive.html
The amazing life of me. Enjoy. Monday, November 23, 2009. You're easy to dance with. That's what I'm listening to right now. Oh, Fred Astaire. Why don't they make them like you anymore? That evening Andy invited Ben and me to go to his friend's birthday party. As it turned out, his friend (and many of his other friends as well) works for the The Post Family. Which is the group that designed the Obama "O" election logo. And guess what I'm doing now? Posted by Becky Robison. Wednesday, November 18, 2009.

Life-tastic!: Everybody, let's rock.
http://life-tastic.blogspot.com/2010/01/everybody-lets-rock.html
The amazing life of me. Enjoy. Thursday, January 21, 2010. Everybody, let's rock. Everybody in the whole cell block was dancing to the jailhouse rock. Where Elvis sings "Jailhouse Rock," (check out the link if you haven't) it's clearly in a male prison. There are no ladies. What, then, does this verse imply? I leave it to your imagination. Soon after this Thackeray's father died, and a year to the day. Finally I went to my Irish Lit class, and guess what? My prof is from Ireland! In other news, last nigh...

Life-tastic!: October 2009
http://life-tastic.blogspot.com/2009_10_01_archive.html
The amazing life of me. Enjoy. Wednesday, October 7, 2009. A very American fall break. I am very sad that fall break is over for a few reasons: a.) I have to go back to classes and regain my work ethic, and b.) this was pretty much the best fall break in the history of fall breaks. Anyway, after that we came home, I ran to the store to buy pumpkins, and we carved pumpkins! And then, of course, we roasted the pumpkin seeds.yum! After a brief doctor's visit (I have somehow developed impingement syndrome in...

La Bibliothèque: You just can't go wrong with Neil Gaiman.
http://beckybookreviews.blogspot.com/2009/07/you-just-cant-go-wrong-with-neil-gaiman.html
Becky's humble opinions of various books. Monday, July 6, 2009. You just can't go wrong with Neil Gaiman. I don't know, maybe I'm biased. I've liked everything I've ever read by Neil Gaiman. Or maybe he's just that good. At any rate, his book of short stories, Smoke and Mirrors. Is fantastic. The stories in the book all have a magical quality to them, but they vary widely. "Chivalry" could almost be described as a cute. Also, READ THE INTRODUCTION! Just trust me on this one. Posted by Becky Robison.

La Bibliothèque: A screaming comes across my brain.
http://beckybookreviews.blogspot.com/2009/06/screaming-comes-across-my-brain.html
Becky's humble opinions of various books. Friday, June 26, 2009. A screaming comes across my brain. 0 14 02.8338 2. The first line of. Is "A screaming comes across the sky." This line is describing the sound of a German V2 rocket, but I thought it appropriate to parody this line for the title of my review because every time I read this book my brain hurt. If I read more than fifty pages at a time I started to feel as though I was going insane. The Crying of Lot 49. The Crying of Lot 49.

Pensive: July 2009
http://pensivedeepserious.blogspot.com/2009_07_01_archive.html
Wednesday, July 22, 2009. The health care conundrum. First, an announcement: Pensive is now not only my thought blog. My good friend and roommate Ben is now a co-contributor! He has wonderful thoughts, many that are far more sophisticated than mine. I am sure they will be fascinating to read, so you should all be excited about that. HmI have many disparate thoughts here. How best to organize them? I think we're going to have to go with bullet points. And I mean how much money in additional. It would be o...

Pensive: Formalism?
http://pensivedeepserious.blogspot.com/2009/09/formalism.html
Sunday, September 6, 2009. In some ways I agree with this theory. Form can make a big difference in a book. I think Catcher in the Rye. However, the history major in me cannot help but protest this form of criticism a bit. Sometimes, in order to understand a work, you have. Posted by Becky Robison. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Pensive: Intergalactic Diplomacy
http://pensivedeepserious.blogspot.com/2010/01/intergalactic-diplomacy.html
Friday, January 15, 2010. Once again, a discussion that I had with my lovely friend Leta has inspired me to write in this blog. A few weeks ago we went to see " Avatar. I thought the movie was visually stunning, but predictable. You can read more about my opinion in one of my more recent lifetastic posts if you're really that interested. However, the movie itself was not the point of our discussion. Earth, but as soon as these resources are outside of Earth, humans will stop thinking about them in terms ...
