Adventures in Central Asia

Adventures in Central Asia. Some of you have asked, and I wanted to share with you about the student retreat we had last weekend. So as I sit here, thinking, typing, and continuing to process the weekend, where do I even begin to write down the power and workings of the HS? How do I even begin to adequately illustrate how big, how powerful, how glorious and how precious God is? But of course that’s not the end of the story, so where do we go from here? The angels were singing praises to the King! Another...

Adventures in Central Asia: Spring...

http://www.adventuresinaforeignland.blogspot.com/2010/03/spring.html

Adventures in Central Asia. For the past two months the weather has been amazing. I can safely say this southern girl has found her niche.and that niche is a real legit winter. One complete with multiple feet of snow, air cold enough to sting a little while breathing, and icicles form from snot or any precipitation when walking. I know sounds attractive eh, but I love it! So what did the Israelites do? For you know that it was not with perishable things such as silver or gold that you were redeemed from ...

Adventures in Central Asia: Зима

http://www.adventuresinaforeignland.blogspot.com/2009/12/blog-post.html

Adventures in Central Asia. This will be a quick post and very soon within the next couple of days I'm going to sit down and post an actual update for all the crazy busy times I experienced during the past 2 months. So until then I'll leave you with 2 things. The first is a poem we had to memorize for our Russian class. Sometimes it's hard enough to memorize english, needless to say it took some time memorizing this. When it came time for me to recite said poem, I did an ok job. So enjoy:. My Adventures ...

Adventures in Central Asia: Happy New Year! С Новым Годом!

http://www.adventuresinaforeignland.blogspot.com/2010/01/happy-new-year.html

Adventures in Central Asia. Happy New Year or as they say in Russian С Новым Годом! In post-sovient countries, much like Kazakhstan, New Year is a holiday celebrated much like Christmas. Let me start by explaining the significance of this day:. Due to the suppression of religion during the Soviet regime, St. Nicholas was. So needless to say ringing in the New Year here was epic, and unlike anything I have ever experienced. Days before the 1st, people were already shooting off fireworks. I was blown away ...

Adventures in Central Asia. Folks How is it Already February? 8220;And He said to them, “The Sabbath was made for man, and not man for the Sabbath.” Mark 2:27. 8220;And on the seventh day God ended His work which He had done, and He rested on the seventh day from all His work which He had done. Then God blessed the seventh day and sanctified it because in it He rested from all His work which God had created and made.” Genesis 2:2-3. Yes folks you read that right 9! At first we thought, with them gone we ...

Come Grab A Latte...: August 2010

http://comegrabalatte.blogspot.com/2010_08_01_archive.html

Monday, August 30, 2010. A season of surrender. Is it really handing Him over control when I am constantly dwelling on the situations that I supposedly trust Him with? Even though my actions may show that I am trusting and following Him, is my heart aligned with those actions or am I begrudgingly going along with what I feel like I am supposed to? My soul, wait in silence for God only, for my hope is from Him. Psalm 62:5. Sunday, August 29, 2010. It's my fort worthaversary. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Monday, March 28, 2011. Oh, Change.you are weird. I loathe you.yet desire you at the same time. I have to constantly remind myself that even if something changes.it doesn't mean it's the end of the world. Sometimes it can be the smallest change ever and my mind will automatically go to the worst possible scenario where there is only a 1% change of it ever happening. I just hate change. Plain and simple. Wednesday, March 9, 2011. You Hold Me Now". On that day when I see. All that You have for me. All crea...

Wednesday, March 9, 2011. You Hold Me Now". On that day when I see. All that You have for me. When I see You face to face. There surrounded by Your grace. All my fears swept away. In the light of Your embrace. Where Your love is all I need. And forever I am free. Where the streets are made of gold. In Your presence healed and whole. Let the songs of heaven. Rise to You alone. The Chile Story: September 2009

http://chilestory.blogspot.com/2009_09_01_archive.html

The quiet untold stories of the Truth. It has been 5 months since we arrived in Chile. How time has flown! It doesn't seem like it has been 5 months. In some ways it feels shorter and in others longer. Short because there is so much to do and learn, and long because we have done and experienced so much. Now we only have 6 months left! That's not a lot. In these next three months there is a lot to be done:. A youth retreat in Santiago. Conexión (Chi Alpha) meetings. More meetings in Santiago. The traditio...

The Chile Story: December 2009

http://chilestory.blogspot.com/2009_12_01_archive.html

The quiet untold stories of the Truth. Christmas Dinner with Conexión. For Christmas 2009, Conexion small groupers gathered to celebrate and fellowship together. During the planning process of the event, the Chileans decided that they wanted a "gringo" Christmas dinner with a turkey and all. Melody and I were excited to do such a dinner because making turkey, stuffing, green bean casserole, cut out cookies, fudge, and all sorts of goodies reminded us of Christmases back in the States.

Adventures in a field

Thursday, 15 March 2012. The polytunnel gets a revamp. Back in June last year (I can hardy believe it was THAT long ago) we relocated the poly tunnel, giving it a new cover and using cardboard and mushroom compost to cover the ground. Then we got on with the house and the tunnel went on the back burner. Here was the tunnel in autumn / winter last year. It was pretty dry in there back then . and the rushes, grass and buttercup were already trying to get through! Water even started collecting by the door.

Adventures in a First Grade Jungle

Monday, July 25, 2016. This morning I am linking up with Fourth Grade Frolics. For her amazing Monday Made It linky. I have come across so many fun ideas through this linky. I love working with vocabulary words and I really try to make sure that my kids know what words mean no matter what subject we are in. To go along with our new math curriculum I gave my math vocabulary packet a complete update so I can better utilize it and the math vocabulary with my kids. Have a happy Monday! Adventures in Afterschooling

Fun For The Brain. Home School Helper Online. Wednesday, March 10, 2010. I guess it is no surprise that I have disappeared almost completely from the blogging world. I miss having the time to journal our school experiences and share the news with all of you. However, I am enjoying the time I have been spending with my boys. We are loving AZVA. How are they liking it? All in all I am very excited and happy with my new life. That is truly what it is a new life, completely selfless and totally wonderful.
