365 days of Making Stuff (give or take a few). Laquo; Artwalk roundup. Where do we go from here? April 23, 2010. While waiting for my coffee at the local downtown Starbucks the other day, I stumbled upon a new magazine: the inaugural issue of Bunker Hill. I noticed the cover mentioned an article about the Brewery Artwalk. So of course I flipped directly to that page. And how surprised was I to find that one of the large photos was of the atrium and my space? Thanks Bunker Hill Magazine. Sonnet of the Moon.

365 days of Making Stuff (give or take a few). Laquo; Artwalk slideshow. April 21, 2010. Artwalk, what a blast! It was awesome this year and I had such a great time. We took our experience from the fall and made a lot of changes that I think added to the improvement of the experience, both for the participating artists and the attendees alike. On Wednesday, my sweetie. Never again. Let’s just leave it at that). It ended up being just three of us: Julia Dittberner. And her cubicle butchery. Enter your com...

batting! | Adventures In Artf*ckery

https://adventuresinart.wordpress.com/2010/03/19/batting

365 days of Making Stuff (give or take a few). Laquo; making progress. March 19, 2010. My box of batting has arrived! I never even had to put on clothes. I usually get 80%/20% cotton/poly or 100% cotton battings for my quilts. I like the way they crinkle in the wash, and I like the lightweight thinness. However, some 100% PVA fiber batting. Caught my eye on the site so I had to investigate. Apparently, PVA= Ingeo. I just had to try it. And how apropos would corn batting be for a food pyramid? Black Rock ...

An Adventure into Art

An Adventure into Art. Saturday, August 13, 2011. 1 Why did you select the inspiration pieces? I selected these pieces from Van Gogh, Picasso and Dali (in that order) because they were slightly non-traditional pieces. I wanted to emulate that style in my portrait. 2 Why did you select the media to create your self-portrait? The media I selected was colored pencil. I chose that because I wanted color to be a large part of the portrait. 4 How does this piece represent you? Friday, August 12, 2011. 5 Would ...
