Adventures in Bugland

Monday, 9 March 2015. Well, since I last posted the time has flown by. My last day at Sugar and Spice was lovely. I had quite a few people pop in and wish me good luck. I even recived some presents, flowers and beautiful handmade cards. It wasn't until I got home that night that it hit me, I had left. Reading the lovely messages in my cards tipped me over the edge. Me and Marion had a few last selfies. The week after I started my new job at Caffe and Cream. Full time work is, well. Full time! So, here go...

Thursday, 5 February 2015. A little while ago I was asked by the lovely Emma Godfre. Y to embark on a secret mission. This mission was to create some samples using her new stamps designed for PaperArtsy. Of course I said yes! Emma's new stamps are designed with Project Life/pocket scrapbooking in mind. I was given this stamp set to play with. So firstly I made some pocket scrapbooking cards. I wanted to make samples in the style which these stamps were first intended. Awwwww look at Pepper! I am totally ...

http://adventuresinbugland.blogspot.com/2015/01/2015-goals.html

Friday, 2 January 2015. I do love a new year, it's like having a good clear out and starting a fresh. I was inspired by the lovely Lean. Ne to blog some goals for the forthcoming year. This year is going to be a big year for us with Callum going to college and Elli moving up to senior school to name a few. 3 - Be brave . I suppose this links to the last goal. Make arrangements, say what needs to be said, trust in gods will. Stop hiding! 5 - Stick to things. Clean eating, targets, schedules, dreams. What ...

Handmade with Love: Hexagons

http://handmade-cards-with-love.blogspot.com/2012/11/hexagons.html

Handmade with Love by Tracey White. Posted by Handmade with Love. On Saturday, 24 November 2012. Hexagons are on trend at the moment and I was keen to make a scrapbook page with them. I used. Papers from Pink Petticoat to show an autumn photo of my two boys larking around in a field. I made the hexagon shape in Microsoft Publisher and then transferred the papers across and re sized them. I added some embelishments, this one made by myself with WOW embossing powders and a flower mould. What do you think?

Handmade with Love by Tracey White. Posted by Handmade with Love. On Saturday, 8 December 2012. I am really enjoying my Friday scrapbooking mornings at Autumn Cottage, I love catching up with my friend Linzi and having a chat with the other ladies there. This time I didn't have time to prepare anything so I grabbed some Basic Grey papers from the Wisteria kit and a photo and hoped for the best! I picked a background paper in a pale yellow and mounted my photo onto some grey and pale blue plain card.

Auntie Fairy: Happy Birthday Marion

http://auntiefairy.blogspot.com/2010/07/how-many-of-you-save-bit-of-this-and.html

Monday, 5 July 2010. How many of you save a bit of this and a bit of that to use for a card or layout later. I've tons of it. The ribbon used on this card was originally wrapped around a box of soaps that a dear friend bought me. This was my friend Marion's. Birthday card. Unbeknown to her, that the ribbon used was from a gift given with love and it has been re-used on a card sent with love. This card is so so simple. The card used are from Craftwork. Cards, which are reasonably priced for a pack of 50.

Auntie Fairy: December 2009

http://auntiefairy.blogspot.com/2009_12_01_archive.html

Tuesday, 29 December 2009. I can't believe it is 2 months since I have put anything on this blog. Christmas takes over. My New Years resolution is to free-up space in my calender and so "no" to certain requests, because I just ran out of time in 2009. Another NYR, is to use up as much of the paper and cardstock I buy for a project and stop hording the left-over in another box which will never see the light of day again. So yesterday I did just that. Tuesday, December 29, 2009. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Auntie Fairy: October 2009

http://auntiefairy.blogspot.com/2009_10_01_archive.html

Wednesday, 28 October 2009. I love cabbage flowers for cards. The lovely Nina from Sugar and Spice introduced these to a class many moons ago now and I use them a lot on birthday cards. These flowers were punches out of three contrasting shades of pink card stack. I used a 1.5 inch and 1 inch scolloped. Circular punch. I then screwed up each circle. The more screwed up the better. A bit of glamour dust on the edge and mounted together using a brad. Wednesday, October 28, 2009. Wednesday, 21 October 2009.

Saturday, April 24, 2010. Our Easter was pretty uneventful. Once again, I spent most of the day taking pictures of Des so we could document his "First Easter", because, ya know, it's such a huge event.that he'll never remember! We he had a fun day anyway.and Des's just so dang cute! I had also forgotten to buy an Easter basket, so I used Desmond's bumbo. It looked pretty good for all the effort I. Jeff and Teri were nice enough to watch Des for us while we went on a little date! But was unsupervised :).
