Six Days from Suwon: March 2010
http://blackwoodii.blogspot.com/2010_03_01_archive.html
Six Days from Suwon. Sunday, 28 March 2010. Memory of the day (March 28 2010). Catching sight of a pair of wild jaguars in Manu. National Park, Peru. I spotted them accidentally from the river boat we'd been travelling on. I'd gotten lazy on the looking out for wildlife front after two days in what was little more than a big canoe surrounded by caimans. And as a result was only using one half of my binoculars to drag my eyes along the edge of the Madre. The exact colour of the rainforest. They are alread...

Six Days from Suwon: Thames Festival
http://blackwoodii.blogspot.com/2010/10/thames-festival.html
Six Days from Suwon. Sunday, 3 October 2010. The last of the great summer weather ruffled our hair and blew the fluffy clouds away over the distant pinnacles of East London. The Thames Festival lined up along the edges of the great meandering river, with a dizzying quantity of stalls promoting the foods and cultures of an equally impressive number of different countries. Spanish paella, Polish cakes, Korean kimchi with a free corresponding cookery book (score! A few more reasons to love London.

Tuesday, November 11, 2008. I wish my choice of title didn't bend my mind towards Mr Blobby but it's too late. Big pink monosyllabic fart. Now I can't remember what I was going to write about. All I can think about is that blobby polka-turd. Update later perhaps. Posted by Mrs Fish. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Cut Out and Keep. Nothing To Worry About.

Tuesday, September 14, 2010. Date Bars and Zumba. So the date bars turned out pretty well - sweet (but not too sweet) and sticky (but you get to keep your teeth). They are quite crumbly and messy but tasty-good, plus they keep well and are also freezable. Posted by Mrs Fish. Saturday, September 11, 2010. Been trying out a few new recipes this week. First up, Cuban Chicken with Rice and Beans from Economy Gastronomy. I am a macaroni cheese purist! Or at least I was. I raised an unsurprised eyebrow at whol...

Tuesday, June 30, 2009. Oversized Sea Turtles and Erotic Displays of Apple Juice. Just your average Hammer film really. I've seen a few, mostly horror, but One Million Years BC and The Witches are the most recent additions to the list. I'm really not sure whether they are horror or not. One Million Years BC. 'This is the way it was. Slinky taupe numbers with their bums and tits. Hanging out, and like to paint pictures and eat vegetables. He manages to escape a truly terrifying jumbo iguana (above). And a...

Six Days from Suwon: Laughing at yourself
http://blackwoodii.blogspot.com/2010/09/laughing-at-yourself.html
Six Days from Suwon. Sunday, 12 September 2010. It’s a skill. Similarly, I felt slightly abashed whilst upside down, two metres underwater at the deep end of my local swimming pool during an impromptu round of the “can you make funny-shaped air bubbles with your mouth and then catch them before they hit the surface” game, when a confused looking man passed overhead and scrutinised me judgingly with his begoggled eyes. Apparently, grown women are. Labels: laughing at yourself funny.

Unfazed Thinking: Lucas: Hero or Villian
http://unfazedthinking.blogspot.com/2008/03/lucas-hero-or-villian.html
Mental ranting of the highest/lowest order. Lucas: Hero or Villian. Me and my friend Steven had this discussion a long time ago and it got rather complex. Coppola became embroiled in his own clone war (zoetrope/apocalpyse now) and while he was off fighting Lucas came in with star wars his love ltter to cinema that sparked his imagination. Its the story of Hippies over coming the MAN. This means when Lucas was ready to get back to directing the hippies were no longer the protagnists and instead it was the...
