Sunday, June 1, 2008. Day 8: Gnearing the End. We left our home away from home, Hampton Inn, in Hurricane, West Virginia headed for our next stop. The Adventures of Gnorm: Day 6: Hunka Hunka Burnin Pork

http://www.adventuresofgnorm.blogspot.com/2008/05/day-6-hunka-hunka-burnin-pork.html

Thursday, May 29, 2008. Day 6: Hunka Hunka Burnin Pork. This morning we enjoyed a lovely continental breakfast (which, in the south, apparently means luke warm biscuits and gravy) and people-watching at the Heartbreak Hotel before making the short trip over to Graceland for a tour. Even more interesting, though, were the poor folks who couldn't quite grasp the idea of a narrator on the headphones. Some attempted to disregard it, and just speak to each other over the deafening headphone sound. Before we l...

The Adventures of Gnorm: Day 5 - Down at the End of Lonely Street

Thursday, May 29, 2008. Day 5 - Down at the End of Lonely Street. We started our day with a goal of getting out of OK, all the way through AR and ending in Memphis. Little did we know how boring it would be to drive through AR. We arrived at the OK - AR border optimistic that this new state before us would be as exciting as the ones we had passed through so far. Here are some power lines, and a plane that flew over head. Our experience in Arkansas is best summed up by Gnorm. This truck said " Schwing.

The Adventures of Gnorm: Day 7: Shooting Stars in the South

http://www.adventuresofgnorm.blogspot.com/2008/05/day-7-shooting-stars-in-south.html

Friday, May 30, 2008. Day 7: Shooting Stars in the South. This morning we woke up excitedly anticipating our big tour of Nashville - really the only way we could cram in all the attractions we wanted to see into one morning. Plus, after having spent a week practically living in a moving vehicle, is there a better way to see a really cool city than in a crowded tour bus? Our tour guide was priceless: Bobby Green, a native Nashvillian. Also a highlight was Little Jimmy Dicken's. At the Tootsie's Orchid.

A Rainy Day in Munich | My Trunk of Choice

https://mytrunkofchoice.wordpress.com/2010/06/02/a-rainy-day-in-munich

My Trunk of Choice. If you have the need, and the wherewithal…. A Rainy Day in Munich. Our plan for the day was to avoid the rain by visiting a few museums. The plan was to spend the late morning/early afternoon at the Pinakothek der Moderne (modern art) museum. Then head over to the Deutches Museum (science and technology) for an hour or so. It turned out to be a wonderful find! Although we got stares from the locals, it wasn’t unwelcoming. We felt as though we were a curiosity. But all wa...You are com...

My Trunk of Choice. If you have the need, and the wherewithal…. An escape from my half frozen life. Christmas is fast approaching. That means Christmas break is coming up too. Looking forward to some time in the Keys. There is a cold snap down there but 60s under a palm tree is better than 20s and snow. Hopefully get some fishing and reading and relaxing down while on Little Torch Key! On December 22, 2010 at 1:05 PM Comments (1). To TrackBack this entry is:. Feed for comments on this post. Bavaria: The Texas of Germany | My Trunk of Choice

https://mytrunkofchoice.wordpress.com/2010/06/01/bavaria-the-texas-of-germany

My Trunk of Choice. If you have the need, and the wherewithal…. Bavaria: The Texas of Germany. After getting off the train from Berlin we found our way to Tram 17 and were off to the hotel. A quick examination and a longer re-examination of the map led us to our adorable abode. The owner, Sebastian, greeted us like an excited puppy! He told us his life story within five minutes and lead us up to our second floor room. It was small but cozy and will be perfect for the next few days. We hit the buffet line...

What a great trip! | My Trunk of Choice

https://mytrunkofchoice.wordpress.com/2010/06/06/what-a-great-trip

My Trunk of Choice. If you have the need, and the wherewithal…. What a great trip! We’re home now. We’ve returned to our lives, back to work, back to the same schedule every day. The transition hasn’t been too rough. We will miss Europe and all the wonderful stuff we did on vacation. But we’re back from vacation and in the faced paced world of America, so to save time, here is a bulleted list of things we’ll miss:. Nutella as a side dish. Everything being smaller and more adorable. Our nice big tv. You a...

My Trunk of Choice. If you have the need, and the wherewithal…. I see blue sky! Our last full day began with Jessie looking out our hotel window and exclaiming “I see blue sky! The rain had in fact stopped. We would not feel another drop for the remainder of our trip. Not only was it not rainy but it was the most beautiful day we’d seen all trip. Through Odeonplatz we went to the Hofgarten, which is the garden for the Residenz – the former home of Bavarian kings. We initially entered the garden...The Hof...

My Trunk of Choice. If you have the need, and the wherewithal…. The hills are alive with a bus full of weirdos. Salzburg and The Sound of Music go hand in hand. The population of the tiny Austrian town increases by two fold each year with tourists drawn there because of that movie. With that, we headed out to see the sites on The Sound of Music tour. It was lead by a flamboiantly jovial guide who mixed in theatrics and keen musical sensibilities into his informative presentation. After that we visited th...

My Trunk of Choice. If you have the need, and the wherewithal…. Dark day in Berlin. The weather today was a bit gloomy, so what better way to lift our spirits than to visit a crypt and the site of the Gestapo/SS headquarters. The Berliner Dom is the largest church in Berlin. It sits on museum island, which is very fitting. Inside it was amazing! Guilded everything and if not gold, it was marble or intricately carved wood. Berlin to Munich | My Trunk of Choice

https://mytrunkofchoice.wordpress.com/2010/06/01/berlin-to-munich

My Trunk of Choice. If you have the need, and the wherewithal…. So the train is a nice change. Nothing to do but watch the world go by, and the world here is full of adorable tudor cottages, farms, old cathedrals and the occasional castle. Plus it doesn’t hurt having food service. Who doesn’t enjoy a piece of Kuchen delivered to them? Looking forward to Munich and what feels like yet another entirely new vacation. We could get used to this. To TrackBack this entry is:. Wednesday, 24 September 2014. Saturday, 20 September 2014. C2C Day 2 Keswick to Penrith. Easiest ever gimpcamp day with an unhear of half three finish. The Adventures Of Ginger Baker – "everything goes well when i'm around"

The Adventures Of Ginger Baker. Everything goes well when i'm around. I’m a ginger tabby, 11 years young, a sort of Skimbleshanks, really. I have an enormous smile and a bright personality, and true to my tomcat nature, I love to explore and get into mischief. I do so love jumping. Master says I have a wee bit of a pooch, I am quite spry for my age, though. My favourite foods include raspberry yoghurt, strawberry ice cream and cooked chicken. And cheese, oh I do love me some cheese! You are commenting us...

Just another WordPress.com site. February 15, 2012. This is a blog just about our little doggie, Gizmo. When Gizmo joined us, back in December of 2009, he was no more bigger than a little curly puff ball. We were at the pet store in the Vancouver Mall in Vancouver Washington. We saw a litter of these cute little curly pups. Their sign said “Pomadoodles.” What the heck was that? Create a free website or blog at WordPress.com. The Wu Wei Theme. Back to the top.
