Tag along, from the safety of your home
The Hostel | adventuresomeness
https://adventuresomeness.wordpress.com/2011/03/27/the-hostel
Tag along, from the safety of your home. Busride to Luochuan →. 27 March, 2011. Hard and comfortable, as expected. Note the hole that I interpreted as a storage for shoes. All three pictures are taken from the same spot, left to right, forming a panorama of sorts of the room. Most of today was spent tending to our newly resurfaced blisters. The above supplies cost me a whole 10 Yuan. Toothbrush included. Why is it that I always forget that damn thing. This entry was posted in China. Well, this is random.

Tag along, from the safety of your home. Mayhaps (which, for the record is one of my favourite words) ‘Journal’ is a more fitting description:. A personal record of occurrences, experiences, and reflections kept on a regular basis; a diary. / thefreedictionary.com. A young oak that has, for as long as I can remember, refused to acknowledge winter until spring arrives. An old friend. Long story short, I’m a tad bit tired of it, so I’m going to China. The canyon | adventuresomeness

Tag along, from the safety of your home. Farthest from home →. 29 March, 2011. Safely arrived, as always, to Alexanders rather chilly, albeit large, apartment in Luochuan the two of us set out on an adventure. Note the heating fan. The floor is not only the colour of snow, but chills the feet approx. as much. Shoes are advised. Sure, why not 🙂. After a few stretches of dirt-snowboarding along the ‘path’ we reached the bottom. Great place to hide your garbage, by the way. This entry was posted in China.
Busride to Luochuan | adventuresomeness

Tag along, from the safety of your home. The canyon →. 29 March, 2011. Having seen the sights of Xi’an (Except for the Terracota army, which I doubt I’ll have time to visit. Mayhaps on the way back.) Alexander and I boarded a bus heading towards the school where he works in Luochuan – a small, very remote, village about the size of Strängnäs but with 50 000 inhabitants instead of 13 000. Remaining true to the art of sneaky photographs, here’s one of an exhausted Alexander sleeping on the bus.
Xi’an | adventuresomeness

Tag along, from the safety of your home. The night train and beds. The Hostel →. 26 March, 2011. Safely arrived in Xi’an and teaming up with Alexander, who despite having been to Xi’an assures me he wouldn’t mind seeing parts of it again. Some areas are new to both though, such as the Forest of stone tablets – In essence, a place filled with hundreds of creations of and on stone. Or did someone else want to erase a part of history or some dangerous path of thought? Xi’an is somewhat unique for its ...

Tag along, from the safety of your home. 11 April, 2011. And as quickly as it began, it ended. Four weeks is nothing when trying to understand a culture so radically different from anything European. Time practically flew by, and if the frame of the journey was not outlined in the posts below, I would have thought time had somehow cheated me. Suburban life, part two. 8 April, 2011. 8220;Damnable high tide got us stranded… Ah well, Abandon ship! 8221;, Or at least that’s how the story goes in my head.

Adventuresome Pearls
Sunday, March 11, 2012. If you want to win something, run 100 meters. If you want to experience something, run a marathon.". Last weekend I completed my first marathon ever! I didn't exactly make the time I wanted, but I'm cutting myself a little bit of slack since I just started running about 11 months ago. My legs were exhausted, and I've never, ever, ever had a blood blister before but I totally got one larger than the state of Texas on the ball of my foot. I'm not sure when Sam Houston Race Park.
