Artisanal Weavings of The Middle Atlas. Zrbya Design and Color Examples. Additional Zrbya designs and colors. Zrbya (also known as tapis) are thick pile wool rugs hand woven on the vertical loom. The Zrbya may be made of a single color, in either natural wool or natural dyed wool. In addition, it may be woven of natural black on white wool in the traditional pattern of the Middle Atlas Mountains (see Beni Ouarain). Hand woven on vertical loom.
