A Gardeners Life In Motion

Sunday, 25 September 2011. 12 Days Been 21: Blinded by the Sun and the Stars. I look up into the partially clouded sun.and temporarily blind myself. I squint, smile, surface and look away. There’s a slight chill in the air and the nights are slowly starting to draw in. There's most definitely been a taste of autumn approaching recently. You can see it in the trees and feel it underfoot. My summer of fun, experiences, big words and young(ish) thoughts has well and truly passed. You gotta love life really?

Inside the Masquerade: All I See is Me

http://insidethemasquerade.blogspot.com/2010/09/all-i-see-is-me.html

The Ball is about to Begin: A dance unto thy self. Saturday, September 25, 2010. All I See is Me. Everything will be stripped away, and you can stay stuck, fighting what is, and screaming “it’s not fair” and nothing this time will save you. You are now face-to-face with YOU! Introduce yourself. There is no longer anything or anyone else to look at, but you. You are alone with yourself. That anger, that resentment, that pain, that sadness…it’s all yours. Your fears, your hopes, your wounds, your dreams, y...

Inside the Masquerade: August 2010

http://insidethemasquerade.blogspot.com/2010_08_01_archive.html

The Ball is about to Begin: A dance unto thy self. Saturday, August 28, 2010. Come join the dance. Here you will find the partner that has all the qualities you are looking for. Immediately, like magnets, you are drawn to each other. The lights go dim and the music begins. You sway to the music, you are twirled and whirled. As you hold each other close on the dance floor. Your bodies melt into one another. His scent, you breathe in as if it is life itself. You feel alive, elated. And you give him the key.

Inside the Masquerade: December 2009

http://insidethemasquerade.blogspot.com/2009_12_01_archive.html

The Ball is about to Begin: A dance unto thy self. Thursday, December 31, 2009. Lessons, Letting go and Love. Reflecting on 2009…. I have codependency patterns in my intimate relationships. I take other people’s issues personally then create self-defeating stories. I incorrectly base how I feel about myself by the behaviours of others. I have let unconscious wounds run my life. I have come to realize my own worth. I am not inferior to others. I do have gifts and something to offer. I can rescue myself.

Inside the Masquerade: The Mystery of it All

http://insidethemasquerade.blogspot.com/2010/10/mystery-of-it-all.html

The Ball is about to Begin: A dance unto thy self. Monday, October 18, 2010. The Mystery of it All. You may not want someone to leave your life, you feel you are deeply connected and that you have something great to offer them, they even make you feel that way. But then they do leave (or you may do the leaving because of their actions) and you feel despondent – having you believe that you do not have something great to offer…why else would they leave, or move on? 8217; This is your break! I love their le...

Inside the Masquerade: What Mask are you wearing this Halloween

http://insidethemasquerade.blogspot.com/2010/10/what-mask-are-you-wearing-this.html

The Ball is about to Begin: A dance unto thy self. Saturday, October 30, 2010. What Mask are you wearing this Halloween. We begin to construct our masks at a young age as we tried to fit into our family roles and figure which way of being would make us feel the most safe and loved. These masks were constructed to cover up deep feelings of shame, unworthiness and powerlessless. It’s not the masks that scare us; it is what is underneath them that frightens us the most. October 30, 2010 at 4:02 PM. Long ago...

Inside the Masquerade: Let the leaves fall where they may

http://insidethemasquerade.blogspot.com/2010/10/let-leaves-fall-where-they-may.html

The Ball is about to Begin: A dance unto thy self. Thursday, October 7, 2010. Let the leaves fall where they may. Until we can claim our true worth, we are always unconsciously proving our false beliefs correct. A true sense of self worth and power will never be found outside of us, no matter how much money we make, how big of a house we live in, what job title we have, who we are married to, etc. October 9, 2010 at 12:24 PM. Thanks for your always SO wise writings, dear KIM! October 9, 2010 at 12:24 PM.

The Ball is about to Begin: A dance unto thy self. Wednesday, September 29, 2010. What are you hooked on? What we are really trying to do, I believe, is have the other validate us and the more they don’t, the more we try to prove our worth to them. BUT, what we are really trying to do is prove our worth to ourselves. It is us who do not believe we are worthy or special enough. And there is my hook. The wounds broken wide open! http://insidethemasquerade.blogspot.com/2010_01_01_archive.html

The Ball is about to Begin: A dance unto thy self. Friday, January 22, 2010. Beauty and the Beast. Don’t allow the monsters to ruin or prevent you from seeing all the beauty that surrounds you. Don’t let them scare off all of the beauty within you. I told myself that the monsters in your head, after all, are just a figment of your imagination born from wounds, wounds from misperceptions of a child’s mind. Why do you think they are so relentless? Sunday, January 17, 2010. 8226; Don’t panic. 8226; Stand yo...

http://insidethemasquerade.blogspot.com/2010_02_01_archive.html

The Ball is about to Begin: A dance unto thy self. Friday, February 5, 2010. The Language is in the Knowing. We get all caught up in trying to describe stuff, label things or analyze something or someone, and we lose the real meaning of it all. Sure words are a useful form of communication, but often when we are trying to figure out an issue or facing a difficult challenge in our life, language just gets in the way. Descriptions of all my emotions so I can better understand them and where they came from.

Monday, October 31, 2011. Garden Spiders and White Pumpkins. Halloween always includes a good spider! Orb Weavers comprise a huge family of spiders with several hundred species in North America. They are great additions to the garden by eating the insects that fly into the web. This particular spider kept our grandson entertained this Fall. This year all our pumpkins are white. Sunday, March 20, 2011. Excitement in the garden! To look at this picture one would think, not much to get excited about, well for me there is a lot to be thankful for. The garden was full of a noxious type of plant with striated leaves and I pulled this along with a lot more dahlias out of this small garden near the side door to my house. There's some personal type of analogy here happening as I was feeling choked with lack of vision and now feel as it has cleared away. Saturday, December 4, 2010. I hav...

The giant honey bush, Melianthus major, has jagged-edged leaflets that smell like peanut butter when rubbed. But don’t think about trying some with jelly–they are highly poisonous.
