The Minister for Transport and Regional Development, Anthony Albanese, announced on the 9th April, that Mitsubishi's iMiEV fully electric plugin car had met all the required Australian Design Rules (ADRs) and could now be driven on Australian roads. David Lynch introduced aikido to New Zealand in 1965 after his initial sojourn of three years in Japan, including 18 months as a full-time student (uchideshi) in the Yoshinkan Dojo in Tokyo. David's Japanese wife, Hisae (3rd-dan Yoshinkan) practises ikebana and is a counsellor in the Seicho no Ie truth movement, a Japanese school of meditation with historical links to aikido. David and Hisae have completed a new dojo. He has also maintains his own weblog, which can be found here.
