Aimee on the Mountainside: Climbing Life's Mountain. When It Rains, Sometimes It Pours (But I'm Not Referring To Precipitation). April was not a good month. No it definitely was not! I was either sick, recovering from being sick and exhausted all month. Along with that I lost my inspiration for blogging at some point and our high speed Internet earlier in the month than usual. Aimee on the Mountainside: Climbing Life's Mountain. Into the Unknown: Of F.E.A.R. and Detours (pt1). From awhile back- -. So that I will remember. We were headed up to one of my favorite areas in Oregon. I was anxious and not feeling well due to some stomach issues. We passed the area I hate, with no incident (of course); I began to relax and enjoy the scenery and then it happened. A detour sign; road closed ahead.the familiar, the known was gone. But the beautiful outnumbered the not so pretty;. Just w...

Aimee on the Mountainside: Climbing Life's Mountain: What Serenity Looks Like

http://aimeeonthemountainside.blogspot.com/2015/03/what-serenity-looks-like.html

Aimee on the Mountainside: Climbing Life's Mountain. What Serenity Looks Like. Serenity surrounded us there. It accompanied me as I passed by the ponds. It filled my heart as I beheld this grove of trees. And with it came a sense of wonder as I stood on the bridge watching a pair of ducks below. And later contemplated the seed head of a dandelion. The calls of assorted birds could be heard as I wondered along. Through forest, meadow and oak savannah. They filled my heart with joy! The WORD on Monday:).

Aimee on the Mountainside: Climbing Life's Mountain. A Different Kind of Exercise. I haven't been getting enough exercise lately. Lately being the last few years). In fact, I've been way too deficient about getting. The ole heart a pumpin' up in that target range. So today I decided to do something about that. And, of course, I talked my dear ole' Farmer Boy into doing it with me. Because that's just the kind of thoughtful person I am). What I had in mind was to do a bit of climbing. OK, OK our car did.

First, melt butter in the soup pot, then peel and cut onions and garlic, I don’t bother to dice small, because this all goes in the blender anyway, no need to make extra wok for yourself. Next, wash and cut up the summer squash, when the onions and garlic are nice and soft and have started to carmalize, add squash to pot. Stirring occationally cook the squash down.
