Jackson is doing the Pee Dance at my elbow during dinner tonight, and when he finally speaks it is to say, "I need someone to go to bathroom with me." Jackson is five and a solo pee-er for years and not particularly afraid of the dark and the bathroom lights are on anyway and I am not interested in humoring him, so I say, "I don't think so.". Margaux shares sleeping quarters with Daddio and Bessie. She and Bessie are tucked in a few hours before Daddio joins them. August is snug like a bug on the other bed, where I join him for the night. So far this routine is working out OK. Things will change when August is mobile. Breakfast around the campfire. Time for hot dogs and s'mores.
