Two Weeks in Mongolia

Two Weeks in Mongolia. Wednesday, June 22, 2011. Bai-yar-taa Mongolia, for now but not forever. I'm home now. I'm actually very sad. It hasn't hit me yet that tomorrow I won't be waking up and having toast and tea with my other Habitatees and heading out to build a house or wander the streets of Ulaanbaatar. I wish I could hug everybody one last time. I will miss all of my teammates and it's hard to come to terms with the fact that, for at least. Put me in a bus on a road with no rules! Two Weeks in Mongolia: Thanks before I go

http://alanainmongolia.blogspot.com/2011/06/thanks-before-i-go.html

Two Weeks in Mongolia. Thursday, June 9, 2011. Thanks before I go. I leave tomorrow at 9:40pm, and as I'm getting ready to leave, I wanted to thank a few people. Secondly, I want to thank my family. My mom, dad, stepdad, and two aunts have been very supportive of this trip from the beginning, and it would have been much more difficult had they not given me financial gifts for Christmas and my birthday, as well as their advice and emotional support. I'm hoping not to leave anybody out because so many peop...

Two Weeks in Mongolia: From the city to the country and back again

http://alanainmongolia.blogspot.com/2011/06/from-city-to-country-and-back-again.html

Two Weeks in Mongolia. Monday, June 20, 2011. From the city to the country and back again. We had lunch before leaving to the countryside. We piled into the bus and bounced our way out of the city. I fell asleep until we stopped at an ovoo. I admired it, visited the souvenir gers, got distracted by a cute baby until all of my group was already in the bus, and ran back to get on the bus before they left without me (as Fernando suggested). And hopefully we'll see each other again soon enough.

Two Weeks in Mongolia: Saying bai-yar-taa to the first family

http://alanainmongolia.blogspot.com/2011/06/saying-bai-yar-taa-to-first-family.html

Two Weeks in Mongolia. Friday, June 17, 2011. Saying bai-yar-taa to the first family. He bought a Chingghis beer and orange juice, and I bought some peach juice and dark chocolate. We walked back to the hostel and he told me about Australia (he's quite a character and can talk your ear off, almost literally). When we got back to the hostel we had a new challenge: how do you cook this stuff? Well, bai-yar-taa for now! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Bai-yar-taa Mongolia, for now but not forever.
