The Californian Eskimo: c'est la vie
http://californian-eskimo.blogspot.com/2013/03/cest-la-vie.html
Be the change you want to see in the world. Wednesday, March 6, 2013. Spring is coming soon! I can just feel it. Actually weather network told us that this week is probably the last cold week of the winter! Of course you cannot always trust weather.com but we can hope right! Before break we had some fun with the warm weather. Being on the 4th floor is fun! Don't worry mom, we were completely safe. Making a weird shaped star from chopsticks! Break was fantastic, now back to reality. Life In Canada, Eh.

The Californian Eskimo: February 2013

Be the change you want to see in the world. Tuesday, February 26, 2013. Tragedy is something that can affect a group of people in two ways. 1: People show anger and blame everyone around them. No one is to blame but someone has to be blamed because how else could this terrible thing happen. Everyone is left to face the terrible loss on their own, and this is a tragedy in and of itself. And then there is a second way. Where there is still frustration, confusion and "why? Wednesday, February 13, 2013.

Thursday, November 28, 2013. Mourning Turned to Songs of Praise. That our baby is dancing. To songs of praise at the foot of the Lord's throne! Do I pray for God's will, and what if that means death? Did I cause this? How do I live by faith in these moments and the moments ahead? When will I know? But Lord, if you are calling this baby home to be with you, I trust you. It is not my choice, but yours. I trust you. How could I even pray a prayer like this? Was I just giving up? Our answer came only a few h...

Miller Mileage: First Love
http://kristenmiller10.blogspot.com/2013/02/first-love.html
Thursday, February 14, 2013. For me, it was a little different, because my first real Valentine's came after Chris and I were engaged. Don't get me wrong, I have loved every Valentines I have spent with him as he has made me feel cherished, loved, blessed! Additionally, my Dad and Mom always made the day special, from homemade heart shaped cookies to special nights of dinner and movies. On Valentine's Day in my past, I have never doubted that I am loved by someone. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Miller Mileage: Moriah's Arrival
http://kristenmiller10.blogspot.com/2012/10/moriahs-arrival.html
Wednesday, October 10, 2012. It's funny how movies tend to influence one's idea of how something should happen. In this case, particularly Father of the Bride II. The next hour and a half were pretty intense, and to make a long story short, when Moriah came out rather than the special moment I envisioned, Moriah was quickly wisked away to the NICU. God is good and answers prayer. It meant so much to my mom to be there for the birth.and I went into labor only 2 1/2 hours after she arrived! Moriah has brou...

Wednesday, December 5, 2012. Making Miles that Matter. Letting go.these two simple words describe past eight months of our journey. There are a lot of other words I could use such as crazy, bittersweet, busy, challenging, faith-based. But, the reality is, looking back, it really has been a journey of faith and surrender. I look back at my years in Texas with great JOY! Joy to realize that the tears came from a deep love and care for the ones we were asked to let go! CRAZYin our life was defined as having...

The Californian Eskimo: January 2013
http://californian-eskimo.blogspot.com/2013_01_01_archive.html
Be the change you want to see in the world. Wednesday, January 16, 2013. Fun, birthdays, and then back to school. Christmas break was wonderful. Lots of rest and relaxation, perfect to recuperate after a stressful semester. I went ice skating a couple times with friends, took many walks downtown, and had tea time with Lisa nearly every day while watching Marple. Train tracks make good settings for pictures. We both had cute hats to wear. It's going to be a good one :). Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Be the change you want to see in the world. Sunday, April 7, 2013. Some Pictures and stories from Easter Break :). We went to St. Jacobs Farmers Market on Saturday, for fun and to cross some stuff off the grocery list. Bratwurst and Apple Fritters. Apple Fritters were in high demand that day. Above is our lunch, Octoberfest Sausage on a bun :). Left: A very colorful stand in the market. Right: All of the goodies we found :). Collecting sap. Photo Credit: Dad.
