Sunday’s Coming | Gary Ealy
https://garyealy.wordpress.com/2011/04/28/sundays-coming
April 28, 2011. Who said it first? In the words of Jesus himself to two followers who were heading home to resume their former routines of life from Luke 24, “How foolish you are, and how slow to believe all that the prophets have spoken! Did not the Messiah have to suffer these things and then enter his glory? Because our generous God has promised us that “our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us (Romans 8:18).”. May this Easter be a day we all open our h...

Campaign Enhancement | Gary Ealy
https://garyealy.wordpress.com/2011/03/08/campaign-enhancement
March 8, 2011. With some exceptions, churches generally request their members to fulfill their commitments in a three year time period. Enthusiasm for the opportunity must be maintained. New members should be given the opportunity to engage in the kingdom expansion effort. Financial income changes must be considered. How do we work with members who move away? All of these challenges, and others, deserve our attention. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Enter your comment here. Address never made public). Notify...

https://garyealy.wordpress.com/2012/05/29/worth-writing-again
May 29, 2012. I know I have written about this before. I know others have as well. I also know, for most churches, this continues to be ignored. So, from a recent experience, I thought, This is worth another try. Surely this example will make a difference. So, here I go. Finally, knowing I had discussed this possibility before with a favorable response, I asked, Why don’t the church leaders ask them? We are talking about $4,000 -$5,000 per week in dropped giving! We are talking about many people. My ...

Annual Budget Planning | Gary Ealy
https://garyealy.wordpress.com/2011/11/14/annual-budget-planning
November 14, 2011. At this time of year most churches are planning their yearly budgets. it is an important time but it is an unpopular time. Some churches have to make sure their members do not know this event is happening. If they did, they wouldn’t show up! Perhaps a new approach is necessary. Help members understand that what is given at the church is not given to the church. The church is the steward of the money given to God. Steward it well. Would he be pleased if they at least started the journey?

God First! | Gary Ealy
https://garyealy.wordpress.com/2011/09/13/god-first
September 13, 2011. Oh no, I lost God’s nickel. God First. They decided to pray about what God wanted them to give and live on whatever was left. They got the less expensive house and increased their giving to God. Given a situation where life has gotten tough and I must cut back, do I give up cable TV during football season or cut back on giving to God? The truth is that God wants me to be faithful and obedient. God wants me to love him like he loves me, sacrificially. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. The on...
