Sunday, May 26, 2013. I love MY little city and wouldn't want to live anywhere else. Some might think my undying affections of MY city means I don't like going any where else. Au contraire! Understanding how wonderful MY city is, helps me appreciate YOUR city when I come to visit. I like to see what the locals see. You might think one museum is the same as another. Or farmer's markets are the same across the board. Hardly! In Redlands, California (shout out to my Riverside County-ites! Don't get me wrong...

Wednesday, February 25, 2015. The Winter Woodlands Invite. This was one of the easiest invites I have made. Mainly due to the fact there was little fancy cutting :). Used Velum paper I already had, straight sticks from the real "winter woods" that Amelia and I had collected, and used string that I intended for making birch baskets for my wedding years ago. My big intention was to make 60 or so birch baskets.due to lack of time and not ambition.I bought them instead. hee hee. You will be fine then! I am a...

Friday, May 30, 2014. It has been a busy week with Grammy here. Here are a few of the highlights. Ice skating at the Dimond Mall with buddy Vivvy.again. Had to show Grammy how well we skate. A trip to Hatcher's Pass and Independence Mine. Yep, still snowy up there! And this is the building we had lunch. That roof has seen some weather that is for sure! Great place to stop though. Best peanut butter and jelly ever, and probably most expensive, but soooo worth it. Made a Saturday trip to the Saturday Market.

Thursday, June 19, 2014. More finds and projects completed. Where her dresser now stood. I tightened and screwed in all the loose nuts and bolts then tackled the top with a sander. Primed and then about 4 coats (one a day) of a quart of white paint I bought at Lowe's for $2.50. Sprayed the knobs gold (Amelia thought that was just spectacular) and Voila! A dresser fit for a princess that fits perfectly next to her bookcase! I'll take a few pics of her room eventually. On to chairs. Saturday, June 14, 2014.

Sunday, May 24, 2015. Pre-School Picnic and More Teacher Gifts. Our final day of pre-school was Wednesday and a picnic ensued on Friday. Lots of fun, followed by a presentation by her teachers. They gave each student a notebook with work they did thru the year. It included a cd and a book for them.it is simply fantastic. She played with it all day and now I am in the process of duplicating it so she has her book to play school with and I have a very beautiful keepsake. Caught her in the act. She had to s...
