Sunday, September 28, 2014. Been a long time since I revisited Balestier Market. I post about this market in my Singapore Blog. The two stone lions flanking the Balestier Market signboard were gone. I wondered where the stone lions (a replica of the original Merdeka Lion) are now. I googled and try to find the lions and chanced upon this blog. Another set of the replica merdeka lions. Geez, did not know there's so many sets of replica of the merdeka lions. Hubby ordered the chicken and mushroom hor fun, ...

Thursday, April 30, 2015. Buffet Lunch at The Line, Shangri La Hotel, Singapore. Last week, had buffet lunch with my family at The Line, Shangri La Hotel. It was fantastic, the food was great and lots of varieties. The price may be a bit high but really worth it. Best to book online (15% discount if book online) and make reservation. There's so many different food sections that we were so busy going round getting our food hahaha. Popular section - roast beef and beef ribs. Cold crabs and very huge oysters.

Tuesday, March 18, 2014. Decided to roast some drumsticks and vegetables today. First to marinate the drumsticks with some rosemary leaves and Masterfoods Roast Chicken Seasoning and some salt. Just rub onto the drumsticks. Best result is to make some cuts on the drumstick and marinate for at least three hours or so. Roast the drumstick at 220 degrees celsius for about 30 mintues and then change to 190 degrees celsius for another 15 minutes. I got the recipe inspiration from annieliciousfood's blog.

Wednesday, February 25, 2015. Shrove Tuesday - Tea Break. While doing my Chinese New Year visiting rounds, I stumbled across this nice cozy cafe in Toa Payoh near Braddell MRT Station. The cafe was Shrove Tuesday and there's an explanation of the meaning of Shrove Tuesday on the wall inside the cafe. There's quite a lot of nice food stated in the menu but as we had heavy lunch, did not order, will try the food when I visit again. The waffle was really delicious with durian ice cream on the top. The secon...
