A Life Less Sedentary: February 2012
http://alifelesssedentary.blogspot.com/2012_02_01_archive.html
A Life Less Sedentary. Sunday, February 19, 2012. In 2010 I got married, started writing in earnest, and hit both coasts. I found out I was pregnant. With one thing and another (and another), I stopped contributing to this blog. In 2011 we bought a house and had a kid. Tremendous adventures, but the same adventures many people have the world over. These are detailed in a separate blog "Oh No, Not Again.". If 2012 is even as remotely exciting as the past two we'd better hold onto our hats.
A Life Less Sedentary: October 2010
http://alifelesssedentary.blogspot.com/2010_10_01_archive.html
A Life Less Sedentary. Tuesday, October 5, 2010. Even though I live in Kansas City MO, I don't often get to visit the state that is 1.5 miles to the west (and the birthstate of my mother). This weekend offered quite a few opportunities. And my poor little car even made it to Lawrence and back! I attended the dress rehearsal for. We ate pretty decent BBQ at McGonagle's Meat Market. They had a board game called. A late summer Kansas sunflower at sunset. All my adventures were dispersed around work and othe...
A Life Less Sedentary: November 2008
http://alifelesssedentary.blogspot.com/2008_11_01_archive.html
A Life Less Sedentary. Sunday, November 30, 2008. Going Home and Then Home Again. While I wait to board, I am struck by this couple's sympathetic placement. They lean towards each other, comfortable in each other's personal space. They are still. They are wearied, as they did not move from the unsteady seats. They are contained and do not need to interact with the other waiting passengers. They spoke very little once seated, and then the woman read while the man napped. Sunday, November 30, 2008. Today I...
A Life Less Sedentary: October 2008
http://alifelesssedentary.blogspot.com/2008_10_01_archive.html
A Life Less Sedentary. Sunday, October 19, 2008. Benton House and Studio Museum. Though situated in a labyrinthine moneyed neighborhood with too many switchbakcs, the Benton House and Studio is worth the twenty extra minutes of driving around in circles. The guided tour lasts a solid forty-five minutes (more if you have lots of questions) and is worth every penny, possibly more, of the $2.50 in entrance fee. It is that sort of thing, that bit of trivia that won't come up in the galleries or art history c...

A Life Less Scripted - Adventure Travel
A Life Less Scripted. A Trip To The Grand National. March 27, 2015. We recently wrote about an incredible sports-related travel opportunity in the U.K. in the form of a golf trip to Edinburgh. This post is geared more toward spectatorship than actual athletic participation, but nevertheless we’re going to look at another outstanding U.K. travel option that revolves around sport: a trip to the Grand National horse […]. A Life Less Sedentary
A Life Less Sedentary. Saturday, June 16, 2012. So….taking an almost 11-month old to Boston by oneself is … doable. But only if you have an amazing friend waiting for you there! It was stressful, poopy, and lacking in any semblance of sleep schedule, but with the help of good friends and being a freaking spectacular kid, Jack managed to get me home again with most of my sanity in place. It was such an adventure - so many new things and people and modes of transportation! 8230; I was! We stayed in a funky...
A Life Less Simple | A journal of a path to somewhere…
A Life Less Simple. A journal of a path to somewhere. About a life less simple. April 1, 2015. The sight of ramson shoots popping their fresh green through bare woodland floors is a welcomed one after the winter months, it means spring is finally arriving. This year I have tested out a new recipe to add to the annual spring pesto. Which was very nice and went down very well at the ‘bring a dish to share’ lunch I took them to. Wild Garlic Pakoras – I loosely based on this recipe. March 23, 2015. Year shal...
A Life Less Stupid
A Life Less Stupid. 101 REASONS WHY I HATE EXISTENCE. Monday, June 2, 2008. Http:/ www.youtube.com/watch? Better seven years too late than never, eh? Enjoy this grainy memory from my teenage years and silently wish that I still posted whymsical blog entries week after week after week. Posted by MK Ultraman. Tuesday, March 25, 2008. I hate not finishing things. And despite the string of unfinished endeavours. Responsibilities outside of work. Its pain. Its colours and flaws. And lobsters and drug-pig.
