A Runner's Story. Posted by Ed Mahoney. Asymp; Leave a comment. Sits at the western entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park, and is also part of the headwaters to the Colorado River. A quaint mountain town with wooden boardwalks and expensive but good restaurants, it’s worth a stop if you’re near Rocky Mountain National Park, or the Winter Park ski resort. Grand Lake anchors the southern end of Trail Ridge Road. Rob and I ate surprisingly good Mexican food at El Pacifico. Larr; Previous post. August 21,...

A Runner's Story. Posted by Ed Mahoney. Asymp; Leave a comment. Which mirrors my plan. I won’t have a sense of how effective uber distance training is until I run the marathon. I’m not expecting to run faster, rather hoping to run more comfortably. Specifically over the final 10K. If you’ve ever run a marathon, then you know how unpleasant those last six miles can be. I also have a sneaking suspicion I’ve become addicted. Posted by Ed Mahoney. Asymp; Leave a comment. Posted by Ed Mahoney. Six weeks of my...

A Runner's Story. Posted by Ed Mahoney. Asymp; Leave a comment. This morning’s 5K race was a collaBEERation between two Longmont Brew Pubs, Left Hand and Shoes and Brews. I planned to run with Ellie, but she paired up with Susan instead. A Runner's Story. Posted by Ed Mahoney. Asymp; Leave a comment. Karen and I were empty nesters for a week. We know now how it feels. What to expect. Now that Ellie is back, I know what to expect on our joint training plan too. Three miles was too much for the first day. Ellie was able to run two miles, running the first mile non-stop. This will be a game of inches. Posted by Ed Mahoney. Asymp; Leave a comment. Sits at the western entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park, and is also part of the headwater...
