A Life Of Canadian Memories

A Life Of Canadian Memories. Thursday, February 5, 2015. Last time I wrote about moving to the farm that I grew up on. This was a big adjustment. I graduated from there in 1962 with 5 of us in the class. One thing I did enjoy was curling. I never was good at that either but it was fun and you wore boots on that ice. These two years living in another area was a great experience. I'll talk about that maybe next time. Monday, January 26, 2015. Well, I am getting ahead of myself, so I will end now. I don't h...

A Life Of Canadian Memories: January 2013

http://www.alifeofcanadianmemories.blogspot.com/2013_01_01_archive.html

A Life Of Canadian Memories. Wednesday, January 9, 2013. Well, here I am, a year later! Its been a busy year. I had problems with my blog and when I had someone try to help me, and a big Thanks to that person. But some part of it disappeared into Cyber space and probably will remain there forever. But I will come back to it later sometime after I talk to my sisters again about Christmas memories. Also, Shannon took Grace out on the trampoline for at short time. It was in the 50's and till now I have ...

http://www.alifeofcanadianmemories.blogspot.com/2013/03/witches-closet.html

A Life Of Canadian Memories. Friday, March 1, 2013. Carol has been after me to blog some about my life in Canada as a young girl. Also, to let the grandkids know I lived much differently than they do now 55 years later. We had a two holer down the path from the school. One for the boys and one for the girls. Also, want to add that we got paid $30 a month. We children didnot get allowance. We all just worked so provisions could be made for us a home. Keep these blogs coming! March 1, 2013 at 6:38 PM.

A Life Of Canadian Memories. Tuesday, December 10, 2013. Being Grandparents is a lot different than raising your own. I'm thankful, that now at 70 I still have enough energy to keep Grace and Glen while Lana subs. Also, keep the others as needed. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). A Life Of Canadian Memories: Snow

http://www.alifeofcanadianmemories.blogspot.com/2013/03/snow.html

A Life Of Canadian Memories. Thursday, March 7, 2013. In summer we used water out of our dugout or hauled it in barrels from a near by lake or used rain water that had collected in a barrel off of the house roof. Then in summer we did take weekly bathes. Things changed in 1973 when plumbing was put in houses, and also telephones became a household item also. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Tuesday, September 30, 2014. Yeah, I am a rebel.I wear a hat at the table! Good morning to all! Mother In The Making. Grace decided one morning that her lamb needed to have her ears cleaned. What a good mommy she is to her animals! Tuesday, September 23, 2014. With the summer ending and a chill in the air arriving I am missing the fun we had in the outdoors. Grace loved her cherry tomatoes. The kids really enjoyed the water table. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile. Moments With My Boys.

http://itbeganatthebistro.blogspot.com/2015/05/just-some-pics-of-my-cuties.html

Monday, May 25, 2015. Just some pics of my cuties. Grace has recently learned how to get up into this tree all by herself. I am so proud of her. Now that we have ripped out five bushes around the house, Glen has quite a few more dirt piles to play in. He is going to make a good daddy someday. She is going to make a good mommy someday. More dirt piles. Where there is dirt, you will find Glen. He is a cutie! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. Mennonite girls can cook.

http://itbeganatthebistro.blogspot.com/2015_02_01_archive.html

Sunday, February 15, 2015. Christmas eve Steve and Sue were able to finish their long car trip from Iowa to visit with us. Grandpa Steve quickly got down to the important business of napping with Glen and Boris. I love Grandpa/Grandson napping pictures! Grace and Ellie had a fantastic time playing, dressing up, watching movies, and squealing. They only see each other once or twice a year, but when they get together it is as if no time had passed. What a wonderful Christmas. Tuesday, February 10, 2015.

It began at the Bistro: October 2014

http://itbeganatthebistro.blogspot.com/2014_10_01_archive.html

Sunday, October 19, 2014. In August we went to the Rockingham County Fair. For the first time Grace got to ride one of the amusement park rides. She met a boy in line and instantly they acted like best friends. And they chose to ride in the same tea cup. They had the best time and we could hear their laughter over all of the noise of the fair and the machine. I was so happy that Grace is so outgoing. Then Glen found the tractors. He was determined to drive the tractor. Tuesday, October 14, 2014. Mennonit...

It began at the Bistro: Summer Fun

http://itbeganatthebistro.blogspot.com/2015/08/summer-fun.html

Sunday, August 2, 2015. Summer is a great time for fun outside. One weekend while our church was at a campout, we did not attend the camping so we joined Mike and Amy's family for a fun morning at the local park. We also have been having a lot of fun play dates with a new friend. He is a child of someone that Lana worked with last year. Though he is Glen's age, he seems to play with Grace more. It is a fun time every time we get together. Yeah, that was AWESOME! Summertime is the best. Dancing In The Rain.

http://itbeganatthebistro.blogspot.com/2015_04_01_archive.html

Tuesday, April 28, 2015. Both Grace and Glen got to experience the joy of waving palm branches in church on Palm Sunday. So after church I got a few pictures of them (in case the Easter pictures flopped). We got to go to the Harrisonburg Easter egg hunt. Grace saw a child that did not get any eggs, and with the prompting of Matt she willingly gave one of her eggs to the little girl. I was so happy that she was so willing. It was a great celebration. At the same time, newer series the company has created constantly appear to be foundering ( is this a screaming endorsement or what?
