magnificent splendor: July 2011
http://magnificentsplendor.blogspot.com/2011_07_01_archive.html
Saturday, July 9, 2011. Since this has been my summer of reading (& listening) to books, I finally got together with 3 fantastic friends to watch the "true to the book" movie, Pride and Prejudice. This was not some wimpy 90 minute version, but the full 5 1/2 hours of pure British Bliss. I have never read the book (insert shame), but still enjoyed every moment, especially with husband rolling his eyes, and children asking to watch cartoons instead. Julia, Christina, Brianna, Me! It is only in Jesus | Broken, In Repair
https://hansenlung.wordpress.com/2011/08/12/454
Broken, In Repair. A hardened heart being transformed by Grace. It is only in Jesus. 8221; We hold on to the things we should forget; and forget the things we ought to remember.” – Tim Keller. Aren’t I amazing? 8221; All the while not remembering, holding onto, giving thanks for, and continuing to press into the God who saved me, adopted me, forgave me and changes me. I need you God. Because only in you am I truly free to overcome and change. In your Son’s mighty name,. August 12, 2011. Blog at WordPress...

Rest in the shadow of your wings | Broken, In Repair
https://hansenlung.wordpress.com/2013/04/01/rest-in-the-shadow-of-your-wings
Broken, In Repair. A hardened heart being transformed by Grace. Rest in the shadow of your wings. I’ve grown up, primarily in a culture where men are discouraged to show any sign of weakness. No tears, no fear, where liking anything other than combat sports or anything aggressive (music, shows etc.) is sometimes looked down upon. I’ve had the notion hammered into me that asking for help, admitting weakness, admitting to struggles is a general no-no. 8220;With my strength alone, I’ll overcome my str...

This is the only thing I can offer | Broken, In Repair
https://hansenlung.wordpress.com/2012/10/21/this-is-the-only-thing-i-can-offer
Broken, In Repair. A hardened heart being transformed by Grace. This is the only thing I can offer. Yet, this gives me pause. What do I have to offer? I’m not as passionate, nor am I able to speak well. My singing is horrific, as is my instrument playing. As I dwell on what I lack, I am reminded that my identity isn’t founded on the talents I have. It is the same with my friends, their identities are not founded and grounded by the talents they were given. October 21, 2012. Anesthetic Apathy →. So itR...

magnificent splendor: 56 hours in London.
http://magnificentsplendor.blogspot.com/2011/07/56-hours-in-london.html
Tuesday, July 5, 2011. 56 hours in London. As a side trip, Andy took a break fro the project, jumped on the chunnel with me and went to London. I have never been, but found a good excuse to visit friends who live there. The first thing that struck me, (and really many places in Europe) was how rich it's Christian history is. We hadn't meant to do much sight seeing, but every where we turned there was another monument to someone great, or a famous landmark. Westminster Abbey, Big Ben, The london Eye.

Low on the Go!: septembre 2010
http://lowonthego.blogspot.com/2010_09_01_archive.html
Mardi, septembre 28, 2010. Wow, it's been awhile since i last blogged. How do i do this again? Last year, work on campus seemed to pick up a lot. Not in challenge factor, necessarily, just in terms of sheer hours spent with people. Oh yeah, and there was that period of time, that hard month in April, when things were just rough. So rough that i didn't blog about it and didn't talk about it to anyone except a very, very select few. On the flip side, though i don't want to socialize, i still want human con...
