Anyway, I updated them on Eva's progress over the past month while Dr. Human listened to her heart and checked her pulses in her feet, which were very strong and easy to find! He heard a little something coming from the left ventricle in her heart, due to the fact that it was still adjusting to the lack of restriction in the aorta. Officially. I am no longer on the EI money train. One of the greatest things our Federal Government does: provides 15 weeks of Maternity Leave and 35 weeks of Parental Leave. I love seeing that money pop into my bank account every 2 weeks. I mean, I've paid into Employment Insurance ever since I started working, but it still feels like free money! Yesterday, February 19, Eva had her heart surgery. I thought of this day on occasion throughout this past year and thought that I would come up with something profound to say once we reached the 1 year anniversary. But I have nothing profound.
