I have lost 13 more lbs-28 total and am feeling MUCH better after not only gallbladder removal surgery on Sept 30, but just 6 weeks later, ANOTHER surgery, not quite as major, but still requiring anesthesia (medical bills out the wazoo in the Axelson household! Abby has been so much fun lately and as I went through some old pics, I wanted to share! This next one needs explanation.she came running to me yelling, "Mom! And this is what I saw! Thursday, January 14, 2010. Christmas and New Year's 2009. Just a few pics from our holidays! We stayed home for most of it this year! We put up a tiny, pre-lit, almost Phoebe-proof tree this year! We had sold our 7-foot, pre-lit, Home Depot after-Christmas special at a yard sale in 2008. After 4 years of having to put extra lights on it due to a whole section of lights being burnt out, I had had enough! As you can see, we opted for the 4 ft on a table! These "in front of the tree" photos crack me up!

Sunday, October 25, 2009. Our little "ray of sunshine" turns 1! Here's Phoebe the morning of her birthday! Okay, I digress! Back to her birthday! She came to TOPS with me and all the ladies fawned over her and even sang Happy Birthday, quietly of course, because every time she comes to TOPS, she screams because we are too loud! Sunday, May 9, 2010. Sakura, the cherry blossom tree, is everywhere in Japan. The country seems to revolve around blooming season in the spring. The Japanese have a festival revolving around sakura, Hanami. Each year, people set down tarps in parks full of sakura and have picnics amongst the trees. School groups and businesses, as well as families, have official outings for hanami. There are apparently some folk songs and dances designed for hanami. Tarps set up for hanami. Sakura in Byodo-In and Nara.
