Again to see how far i can run and still see where You are. Monday, September 29, 2008. The Good Ole Days. I filled up my gas tank yesterday and paid $3.47/gallon. I don't think I've paid that "low" of a price in a LONG time. So naturally, I was excited, which is also the first time I've been excited about the result of my latest trip to the gas station since, well, I'm not sure. My girlfriend and I lived in the same zip code. I didn't have to buy my own groceries. I didn't have to buy my own anything.

Again to see how far i can run and still see where You are. Wednesday, March 26, 2008. 160;It's just a cell phone, right? 160;Obviously I'm less reachable and unable to communicate with people, which are both important things. And it's incredibly inconvenient. But really, it's not a big deal. The day will still happen. And it did. Bible (either of the 2). Wallet (including everything it contains). North Face winter hat. Not that wallets and car keys are unimportant) . Sunday, March 23, 2008. I saw s...

toe the line: The Word

Again to see how far i can run and still see where You are. Saturday, April 25, 2009. Don't you love those moments when your heart and mind stumble upon a remarkable piece of truth or begin to understand a previously confusing thought or idea? I just had one of those moments. Later, in verse 4, John writes: "In him was life, and that life was the light of men." Putting 1 1 together, I end up with Jesus = Word = light. Let there be light.". What do you think? A Heartful of Eternity: order of events
http://proverbs327.blogspot.com/2010/12/order-of-events.html
Friday, December 03, 2010. Jesus replied, “All who love me will do what I say. My Father will love them, and we will come and make our home with each of them.". I wonder, often, about the little roadmap of cause and effect I have drawn up in my own little brain. How frequently do I wait for something to happen. In order that I might respond to it? Upon examination, I find that being the something that happens. Doesn't even blip on the radar of this little roadmap. Messes are made - I clean them up. Somet...

A Heartful of Eternity: May 2011
http://proverbs327.blogspot.com/2011_05_01_archive.html
Wednesday, May 18, 2011. Today, I am grateful. 1 spring rain's clean scent. 2 baby girls falling asleep peacefully on living room pillows. 3 sisters holding hands. 4 helping hands at the grocery store. 5 generosity of neighbors. 6 plants growing from seeds pushed into dirt by tiny hands. 7 sudden, silent snuggles from my middle daughter. 8 white chocolate mocha creamer in my half-caff coffee. 9 text messages from dear friends. 10 ability to lift up prayers for my friends. It is all grace, all a gift.

Friday, December 03, 2010. Sweet face, with a mouthful of sweet donut. Happiness is. a cider donut :). She's a goofball. I'm sure it's ALL from her daddy. Jesus replied, “All who love me will do what I say. My Father will love them, and we will come and make our home with each of them.". I wonder, often, about the little roadmap of cause and effect I have drawn up in my own little brain. How frequently do I wait for something to happen. In order that I might respond to it? Tuesday, May 11, 2010. Not in kansas anymore. My life is not perfect. The cast of characters is human - flawed and real - and the setting is a world, created perfectly, that has been shattered and awkwardly glued back together. Why is it so easy to walk this beautiful path with a focus far too narrow? It was when I sat still and watched my life without looking. For anything that I saw it. Life doesn't always look the way I expect it to. Rarely, in fact. But I belong to a God Who knows the desires...A Few...

A Heartful of Eternity: introduction
http://proverbs327.blogspot.com/2011/02/introduction.html
Saturday, February 05, 2011. I'm beginning to realize how often we meet something new in our day-to-day lives. New people, new places, new food, new challenges. so frequently we are being introduced to an unknown. Sometimes we are changed very little by the experience - it is simply a blip on the day's radar and passes without much more thought. Oh she is beautiful! 5:26 PM, February 06, 2011. Saturday, April 24, 2010. It's a good thing toddlers and infants don't play poker. Um, for lots of reasons - but I'm thinking mostly about the fact that there is NO poker face whatsoever. I can virtually read the thoughts of my girls on their faces - their eyes, their lips, the crinkles in their little foreheads. adorable little open books. And as a result, those girls of mine, they are known. Will not always make themselves known to me. How often are we truly simultaneously known. And so, as we wade thr...
