Saturday, July 18, 2009. 4th of July Celebration. Long overdue.but it's been so hard to sit in front of a computer for an extended period of time! Fourth of July in Lynden was a blast! Literally. Thanks to Bo's crafty negotiating skills at the "rez," we ended up with quite a selection of fireworks to blow off in the back yard. We headed up early on Friday, managing to sort of beat the traffic. Brian bounces Lily on the ever-present bouncy ball. I really don't know what we'd do without it. Bo shows Rian th...

Wednesday, October 29, 2008. I got home for work yesterday with the intention of relaxing after a long day, but when I opened the door to my house and was greeted by Ponch, I said, "Where's Polly, and why does it smell like a winery in here? Much to my surprise, and not to my delight, I saw Polly on the OTHER side of her gate, standing in this mess:. Good times. Officially, I have no idea what happened. It. Does this look like the face of a canine that could make such a mess:. Monday, October 27, 2008.

Monday, September 15, 2008. What an amazing weekend! Brian and I headed out early on Friday morning to rendezvous with my parents for the drive over to Lake Chelan area. Since wine tasting was sort of the theme of the weekend, we couldn't resist a stop at Wedge Mountain Winery. For our first tasting. We met the winemaker, and tasted some yummy wines! The view from Wedge Mountain Winery. Rian giving Bo some much needed golf advice. Brian in the sand. The view from the signature hole. We hit KarMa Winery.

Hands Full of Heart Stones. Friday, July 03, 2009. The Man Up Campaign. Man Up does not have its website running quite yet, but since I have been asked to explain the campaign over e-mail quite a lot, I thought I might share here a bit more about the initiative, its goals, and the plan. (Note: I did not write the following. It was created as a collaborative effort of our incredible team to share with partners and donors). http://handsfullofheartstones.blogspot.com/2009/06/goats-as-tool-for-child-protection-and.html
Hands Full of Heart Stones. Sunday, June 28, 2009. Goats as a Tool for Child Protection, and the Story of Martina. Identified by TPO Uganda as at-risk, last year Martina received a goat. (If you don’t yet know about the Goat Project, please read about it HERE. TPO considers the Goat Project to be a child-protection program, and I quickly learned again why. 8221; she asks. It is my turn to nod. Yes, I definitely want to see her goat! I think that it is a fabulous plan. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).
