I had the best intentions of posting pictures from Owen’s birthday, which went off without a hitch. I was so glad to have so much family, especially those coming from out of state, around for the big day. Owen seemed to enjoy the attention from new faces, too. He definitely made out when it came to birthday presents. Whew! A Very Hungry Caterpillar. 9 months… a little late.

Anticipated arrival February 2014. Monthly Archives: November 2014. 9 months… a little late. November 20, 2014. A couple weeks ago, my boy turned 9 months old. What a person this boy has grown into, considering only 9 short months ago, he was this helpless little bundle. He is helpless no more! He currently has 6 teeth, as his top 4 teeth came in all at once (fun! And, I’m thinking more are not too far off, because he’s begun the drooling and chewing again. Darn teeth. Thursday, July 17, 2014. Last week marked our annual vacation to Joshua's grandparents' home on Bond Lake, and what a difference a year makes! This year certainly was more relaxing and fun with Forrest in the water. We shared our week with Joshua's cousin Nick and his wife Nicole and three children. Sunday, June 1, 2014. As agreed at Christmas, we took our family vacation last week. (Fewer presents from Dad and Mom in exchange for some quality time together.). Our first stop was the Dessert Botanical Gardens for a family picture. Tuesday, April 28, 2015. Kati and Ryan's Wedding. Last weekend was the much-anticipated wedding! We flew out to Phoenix to celebrate and enjoy a long weekend with Kati and Ryan. Here are a few pictures until we see the professional ones. Now for the big move on Sunday. The house is in mid-pack-up and a complete mess. We’ve been doing a lot of boiling around here… the sap-to-syrup process isn’t a hard one, but it sure is time consuming. It has taken us about 6-7 hours of boil time for 3 gallons of syrup, and today we’re doing a marathon boil of nearly 5 gallons.
