Wednesday, 31 December 2014. 2014: A Year of Making. As I sit here surrounded by brown boxes and brown packing material, looking at empty walls and bare furniture, I can't tell you how good finishing this post felt. Such pleasure. Look, pretty things! January: a fimo bead necklace. A winter inspired crocheted cushion. A scarf for John. And some hama bead coasters. February: a scarf for Angus. And some more coasters. March: my winter embroidery. A pair of crocheted curtain tie backs. And a peg bag. And it...

Lover of Vintage: diy 3D birthday card
http://loverofvintage.blogspot.com/2012/02/diy-3d-birthday-card.html
Sunday, 12 February 2012. Diy 3D birthday card. I made this 3D balloon card for a birthday in the weekend, it's the same idea and method as the hot air balloon mobile in my previous blog. It doesn't take long and gives a great effect! Really easy, just cut out the 6 pieces of card in the shape of a balloon, fold in half (pattern side together), glue or use double sided tape to attached together, then stick to the card. Lover of Vintage: pretty pieces
http://loverofvintage.blogspot.com/2013/07/pretty-pieces.html
Saturday, 27 July 2013. Walking past my bathroom I was stopped by a bright glow, the last of the days sunlight streaming through the window, almost highlighting some of my favourite things. I love that we are closer to spring and can almost leave winter behind, these are the first of my beautiful most fragrant roses. The little white tray and heart soaps are from my friend Chelsea's gorgeous shop The Family Design Store. 12 November 2013 at 03:54. Our website is www.catablog.com.au. I have just made some...

Lover of Vintage: DIY hot air balloon mobile
http://loverofvintage.blogspot.com/2012/02/diy-hot-air-balloon-mobile.html
Tuesday, 7 February 2012. DIY hot air balloon mobile. One of my friends is having a baby any day, so this is for her new arrival. I love using blues, she doesn't know what she's having but I think this could be for either, it sure fits into olive's room well! I would hang it in a girls room, what do you think, is it to blue? Pinterest is once again my source of inspiration for this balloon mobile and brown accents. Is the blog where I found the step by instructions to make it. Hot air balloon mobile.

Lover of Vintage: DIY girls summer dress
http://loverofvintage.blogspot.com/2011/10/diy-girls-summer-dress.html
Friday, 7 October 2011. DIY girls summer dress. This is the second little dress I made for my older daughter, they are such easy dresses to make. It only takes about 30 minutes to make the dress, then add 15-25 minutes if you do the pockets. I can't wait to get all dressed up with them tomorrow, I love weddings! The fabric was from a garage sale last week, I got two supermarket bags of material for $4 each! So this dress would have cost under $1 (NZ) to make! Fingers crossed it's a lovely spring day!
