I'm going to live forever. At least in the semi-published/academic world. Fun fact - you can search my name in the UPenn libraries catalog and stuff shows up. Although I know it's because they're still processing, it felt pretty awesome to be checked out. :). Then, for kicks I decided to see if I was listed on WorldCat. You know, the catalog of everything ever published ‽. And I'm there. twice. Pretty awesome. The pictures are slightly hard to see, but if you click on them it's much clearer (and larger!

This began as a post about things that have become my favorite things over the month of January, but then I realized that these things have surpassed favorite status and reached the level of obsession. All in under a month. 160;This guy is amazing. Hes Belgian by way of Australia and incredibly good looking, but neither of those things are supposed to matter too much, right? You havent actually listened to any of this music have y.NO! This is a great day for (i) you, and (ii) cultural discovery. Yester...

Leap Day or, the day I chose not to propose to someone on a whim. Last week my boss exclaimed that she was incredibly excited about "Sadie Hawkins Day! Is this societally acceptable yet? Allowed to propose to men. And, according to her, you really don't have to know these men at all. In fact, she plans to just up and meet her future (and instant? Husband at a bar. By physically chasing your targeted husband. So, the moral of this cultural celebration, American women get a chance every year (and sometimes...

I've officially finished all of the books I brought with me to NH and then some. One of the best things about this summer has been the reading time. Just about every day after work, before dinner time, one of the roommates and I have reading time. It's fantastic! There's little talking, unless we read something super great that needs to be shared; it just quiet, reading time. Unfortunately, this has caused me to go through my books quite speedily. The Perks of Being a Wallflower. Lord of the Flies. This ...

A trip to Prohibition. After our viaduct excursion. I spent a lot of good quality time in studio this week with some fun people that I'm realizing I have a limited about of constant time with. I turned in a thesis draft. Last night I attended a spectacular lecture. You'll hear more about this soon. Saturday's charette was insanely painful and overall mentally and physically excruciating. Chalking it up to learning. Lots and lots of writing. Why have electrical sockets been fairly stagnant over the years?

the Philadelphia Story: a half finished book is, after all, a half finished love affair
http://mireelsol.blogspot.com/2012/09/a-half-finished-book-is-half-finished.html
A half finished book is, after all, a half finished love affair. For the past few weeks (since it was revealed on July 26th) I've occasionally taken a moment (or 5) out of my life to watch the Cloud Atlas trailer. Have you seen this yet? Every time I see it I just want to dissolve in tears. Happy? I don't even know. All I know is that I can't wait for it to finally come to theaters on October 26th. Posted by Collette Kinane. My phone takes rockin' pictures of food. Or I just eat awesome things. Regardless, I was going through my phone photos and found a lot dedicated to the edible. I'm not sure whether it's sad or impressive that I can remember (in detail) the events that went with each plate. This also proves that my phone takes better pictures than my camera. That's no good. Posted by Collette Kinane. Dynamite, dino night! Luckily, the fun doesn't end with JP3! SS just announced that number four is in our future! Eating ch...
