Thursday, December 31, 2009. Mushroom salad. The first time I had some good cheese since I've been here. The fish oh. let me tell you, perfectly crisped skin and the meat remained flaky. Topped with peppercorn leaves to give it a little punch and a side of mashed taro. I don't even like taro! But i thought the mash was fantastic. The jumbo shrimp risotto was ok. I barely touched it because my mom and dad practically devoured it. I hear the shrimp was very sweet. Creme brulee. one of my very favorites!

Monday, November 2, 2009. Qing sui rest station. Along the #3 highway is a famous rest stop. many people pass through or even just go here to grab a bite to eat or buy delicious snacks. with many different delicacies to chose from, including irish style fries, i chose the korean seafood hotpot. it was loaded with seafood and piping hot all the way until the end. Tuesday, September 29, 2009. Wang steak house, nan jing branch. Father took us out to eat with his mah jong winnings. 4 course meal, BUT for three people we could get just two mains and all the fixings. I like that. Cause I know i was FULL before the main course even came. I started with the fruit shrimp salad. Nothing to call home about but the plating was nice. Father ordered the salmon rolls. Each roll had different fruit and veggies wrapped in salmon. Pretty creative and delicious. Now the steak....

Wednesday, February 25, 2009. Imagine all the color possibilities! UGH such a cute chair by imaginary office. Weaved of clothed polyurethane. Tuesday, February 24, 2009. St suppery.cute winery got a buzz out of wine tasting. Their muscato was fantastic! Very light with hints of honeysuckle. mm. We hit the lavender hill spa, off the main road but surprisingly quiet. I got to soak in a tub of volcanic mud in a room by my lonesome and got a Swedish oil massage after. Ah. bliss. Friday, February 20, 2009.

Monday, November 2, 2009. Mom took me to a ramen place near the house. i got original flavor which was good. the bamboo shoots were a little off but the soup was light. a bowl of noodle cost $5 which is a little on the pricier side but the place was clean and service was good. Shih lin night market a taipei attraction. one side sits stands after stands of "little eats" fried stinky tofu, and "meat round" (that was direct translation). Something I did not like as a child but grew to love 10 years later.
